So [livejournal.com profile] spnroundtable appear to have temporarily lost their minds and asked me to do an Ask the Author segment.

If you've ever had any questions, now's the time! You may do so here.

Let it not be said that Jared doesn't love the camera! Guy knows how to ham it up, and apparently has very little shame when it comes to his own dignity. This is all to the good, if you ask me. ;)

VanCon was amazing.

I have to figure out a way to compile all my tweets from the Con so I can have them in one easy-to-find place. [livejournal.com profile] missyjack suggested Storify, but I'm finding it not great for the bulk work I'm trying to do right now. Anyone have suggestions?

Okay. What did I miss? Is everyone okay after/during Irene? Sound off, please, if you get the chance!

I feel like I was living under a Supernatural-shaped rock this weekend. The entire world disappeared and there was nothing but awesome for three whole days. I got more photo ops than usual, since this is the last time in a very long time that I'll be going to a con. Jared looks like he's wincing in the one I had with him, alas, but I think it's because the photographer clicked before he had time to actually smile. Oops.

Also, Jared kept doing double-takes at me every time we crossed paths (which wasn't that often, maybe three or four times). It was really disconcerting and made me wonder if I had something on my face, or what I could possibly have said to make him do that, or maybe if I just resemble someone he knows. Anyway, awkward.

Highlight of the weekend was watching Jensen murder a giant inflatable duck with his pocket knife, à la Dean. To quote Jared (who was just as shocked as we were, I think): "Dean versus duck. Dean wins."

I spent most of the week with [livejournal.com profile] elsewhere_kels, and I already miss her like crazy! I also got to meet SO MANY fangirls this time! [livejournal.com profile] 4422shini, [livejournal.com profile] cordelia_gray, [livejournal.com profile] hells_half_acre, [livejournal.com profile] borgmama1of5, [livejournal.com profile] sandymg, [livejournal.com profile] metallideangirl, [livejournal.com profile] tahirire, [livejournal.com profile] bree_black, [livejournal.com profile] annundriel, [livejournal.com profile] disneymagics, and so many others I am sure I am forgetting because my brain is now mush.

Corin Nemec is adorable and side-splittingly funny, and I'm quite sure Sebastian Roché was high as well as drunk for the whole weekend. The man is a charming train wreck, really.

*waves to everyone*

It was SO AWESOME to meet you all! I am really happy, if exhausted. :)

Okay, so a few of you might know that every year my friends and I celebrate our January birthdays by writing radio plays and having our friends perform them -no rehearsal, no nothing- up on a stage. We rent a room, bring food, have fun. We call the event Capricornucopia, and this is the seventh year we've held it.

It was a major success, one of the best ones yet.

How does this relate to SPN and fandom, you may ask?

Well, someone invited a lovely, lovely girl to the event. Her name is Lucinda Davis, and as it turns out, she is one of the voice actresses for the English version of the SPN anime! They are recording at least some of it right here in my hometown of Montreal!

\o/

SHE ACTED IN MY PLAY! BRB CAPSLOCKING FOREVER!!!!!!

For Canadians, you may recognize her as having been on every YTV show ever made in all of history. :P

So it's probably not a secret that I'm in love with a new show and fandom. H50 is delicious in so many ways. SPN is still my first love, and 90% of my plot bunnies are still there, but I have about three stories in various stages of development for H50 too. *headdesk*

ANYWAY.

The problem? The two leads, who are ADORABLY SLASHY EVEN IN CANON, are called Steve and Danny.

So what do I see in all the fic headings? S/D

Yeah.

My first thoughts are always: "What the hell are Sam and Dean doing in an H50 fic?"

*facepalm*

I also need to update my icons to reflect the fact that I am no longer monogamous in my fandom love. I adore all my SPN icons, but there are other shows which need representation now...

Okay, this is me squeeing about something non-SPN. But isn't Alex O'Loughlin adorable in this sweater-vest? COME ON!

I have been felled by illness, which sucks. Haven't done any writing, got sent home from work yesterday (I looked that bad, apparently), and am now behind on my Christmas errands. Mostly I am spending all my time curled up in a ball and praying for a quick death.

So I am going to watch JP's Christmas Cottage movie. I suspect there may be trauma.

:::ETA:::

Well, that wasn't nearly as bad as I was led to believe it would be. And good Lord, can JP ever turn on the waterworks! It's a talent, man.

Fan: What's it like for you to work with [Misha Collins] ?

Jared: It's like working with a small puppy. I have to roll up a newspaper and when he's bad I go: NO, MISHA!
