Crap.
I have Done Something™ to my shoulder which is making existence excruciatingly painful. Typing, for instance, is not fun except in small bursts. So the writing has taken a definite hit, not helped by the mind-warping effects of codeine and anti-inflammatory drugs on my system. Very bad timing.
So for everyone waiting on stuff from me, I apologize. I'm getting to it.

(Me? I just tripped over a Playmobile castle throne and am bruised all over, but no respectable fanfic can come from such a ridiculous injury!)

Seriously, that BLOWS. I hope that it's not something that takes long to heal - I know how that will cut into your gym time. Not to mention, oh, SLEEP. (And writing.)(Writing with puppies.)(I tease.)

Trust me on this one, It's got me running again after 13 years of involuntary retirement. It's much safer and more effective than anti-inflammatory pills. 10 times as much medicine reaches the ligaments, but only 2% of it gets into the bloodstream. For some bizarre reason, it's prescription only in the US, but it's worth the trouble to get.

Sorry I am incoherent. Friday night brainfry.

To be honest, this thing is not nearly bad enough to warrant seeking other treatment methods. I had the same thing last year (I don't know the word in English, alas), and it cleared up after three days and exactly 6 anti-inflammatory pills. It's acute, not chronic.
Also, I have no idea if what you're talking about is even approved for use in Canada. :)
Thank you for the suggestion, though! If ever (God forbid) I have an injury or whatever that necessitates long-term treatment, I'll keep it in mind.

Can you imagine Dean trying to get rid of a poltergeist and tripping over a Playmobil castle throne instead? Sam would mock him forever, all the while being totally awesome and bandaging his sprained ankle and everything. \o/

*creeps away from you, hugging the wall*
^_-
I don't think it'll take more than a few days. I had the same thing around this time last year. It hurts like an SOB, but there is something to be said for better living through chemistry. ;)

*cuddles the kitty for good measure*
My kitty has been "helping" by trying to drape his 19-lb self over my injured shoulder. I offered him the other shoulder, the one that doesn't hurt, but apparently it's not up to his high standards of shoulderdom. *sigh*
At least this should all go away in a few days, if last year's experience is anything to go by.

It really is freakin' inconvenient. I am unimpressed with this latest development.

I'm quite fond of that icon too.
Thanks for the clarification there. :)

You are the devil, woman. The DEVIL, I say!

Not only that, but I am a little crippled due to shoulder pain as well! ;)

Secondly, I must confess, I adore your icons and whatnot for this post. Too cute. *bundles up Jensen with Doctor gear and a giant basket of cookies to come make you feel all better* >:)

*stuffs Jensen in her closet and feeds him the cookies*
*cough*
I love my icons too. :D
