Writing projects, December to February

Okay, so the last time I did something like this, it actually ended up being pretty helpful, so I'm doing it again. My current Master Post of ongoing writing projects is getting a wee bit unwieldy, so I'm first going to make a list of stuff due in the next few months, and then I'm probably going to go modify that Master List and add a category of "finished projects," for my own records. It'll be easier than the strikeout system I've been using up until now, anyway.

Fic projects, with due dates where applicable

- spn_jimmynovak: Novakfest. Due November 22nd. 500 words minimum. In progress. Posting date is December 18th.

- peppervl: she won a fic from me fair and square, and requested whumped!Sam and caring!Gabriel, preferably with plottiness. No deadline, but I should really get on that.

- gabriel_bigbang: oh, look, another Big Bang! I'm not nuts, I swear. Summaries are due January 14th, rough draft January 31st. Posting starts March 7th. I'm actually considering signing up for the art on this one. No idea if I really should. I'm not exactly an artist...

- ohsam: a Sam-focused h/c fic challenge. Again, exactly what it sounds like. Due February 2nd, 2011. Minimum 2,000 words.

- Again, but with Colds comment-fic meme. I have tentatively laid claim to a prompts. Going to see what I can do with it.

- "Roses in December": I'm a little stuck. I have to find a willing victim to bounce ideas off until I can wrestle this bad boy into submission. Ideally, I'd like to finish the story by the end of January. Depending on what I decide, there might be a sequel if necessary.

- l4d_bigbang: It kind of looks like I have a death wish, doesn't it? 5,000 words, due January 5th.

- spn_las: I'm still in it, God help me. Next story is due Jan. 5th.

I'd be happy to be a bounce-board for Roses in December ideas -- I adored that fic! And crud, I need to find time to work on my ohsam claim because Ihave this feeling it's going to be a doozy.

This looks much like the my-eyes-only post I have with my writing commitments, though at least I don't have the bigbang. For me, it did help to get it all laid out because I could see that I do have until February on some of them and then I can strikethrough them as I write them. Good luck with your writing!

I know what you mean. It feels like most of the really talented h/c writers out there gravitate toward Dean. Or, at the very least, that the Sam!whump seems to attract the less-good writers, for some reason.

This list only pleases me! This from the girl who is so far behind on reading fic that she probably shouldn't be cheerleading more, but I am. Oh, yes, I AM.

You can also add ours with a tentative date through, oh, probably the end of January. I don't start clinical until April (AGAIN, ARGH!), but since I have no idea of knowing how asstastic next semester will be, we should probably plan for it to be terrible and that I'll have no time. Which means, I'll be writing with you and doing 3 Sam!whump challenges, 3 Dean!whump remixes, and that pile of unfinished fic I have laying around along with a few other things. So, somehow? I think we might be sharing similar levels of insanity. NEAT. My first order of business after Wednesday's finals and sleep and bulldozing the trainwreck of my house? Plotting with you and getting that darn constantly growing Cas fic (which is somehow just as much Sam h/c, Dean h/c fic as anything) done. DONE DONE DONE. Because I promised and it are late.

I just had a look at your Master List for the first time, and WOW. I don't, can't, that's just - yikes! My brain flounders at the volume and the extent of your awesomeness.

(And I'm totally sitting here and squeeing over the Sam!whump to come. Because there's never enough Sam!whump).

Aww, thanks! The Master List has been going since early 2010, though, so it's had a lot of time to grow.

Also, I think more than half my projects involve Sam and h/c in some way. I am a bad, bad person. ;)
