I'm glad to hear you don't have any personal experience with retrograde amnesia! On one hand, it does provide a lot of insights which can't be found through other means; on the other hand, it is very painful... possibly more painful than those insights are worth, but I'm not totally certain yet.

It's a question it seems most anyone has had at some point in life... what a person would be like without memories.
