It's this sort of grass from Africa that's found in a lot of pastureland here. It's called molasses grass because it's supposed to have this sort of sickly-sweet, molassesy smell? Can't say I've ever noticed, particularly. It's very fuzzy, and a little bit sticky. Sometimes you get a tiny little bit of an itchy, bumpy rash if you've been in it the day before. A lot of people are allergic to the pollen as well.
