Thank you so much. It makes a lot of sense to me that Sam would have turned out a little messed up, given how isolated his childhood was. The only peer contact he ever had was his older brother whom he worshipped, and a father he became convinced didn't really love him (which isn't true, but doesn't mean Sam doesn't feel that way).
