I'm so pleased you liked it! Having Sam reassure Dean at the end felt like the right thing to do, not sure why. I think Dean needs the reassurance more than Sam these days anyway.
The problem with continuing is that I now have to figure out just how badly and permanently I screwed up Sam, and just how they'd deal with that. (Keep hunting? Stop hunting? Can Sam even walk after I drove giant nails through his heels? What about using his hands? Guh.)
