Six for six, baby!

So my colleague J. was so enamoured of the show that she made Bambi eyes at me until I invited her over Monday night to finish Season 2 and start Season 3.

Last night at work I brought Season 1 (again) and sat Excitable!Puppy in front of it. First he made me watch "Jay and Silent Bob Strike Back," which was about eighty minutes of excruciating boredom and fifteen minutes' worth of hilarity (it was worth it just for Mark Hamil, I have to say), and then he condescended to watch the pilot.

Six episodes later and he looked over at me and said: "We have time for one more, right?"

BWAH!

The moment when the show won him over: "When I told Dad I was scared of the thing in my closet, he gave me a .45!" I had to pause the episode until he finished laughing. :D

I told him we didn't have time for another episode, and dealt with the look of disappointment quite well. We're continuing tonight.

LOL! That's just awesome. How lucky are you to get to watch movies at work???

Pretty damned lucky. We can't always do it: when it's busy everything else goes out the window, but when it's quiet we're allowed to stick in a DVD to pass the time. :)

You are good! And have easily persuated coworkers.
I mean, that line was within the first 5 minutes or so of the pilot.

But I DO have to ask - do you occasionally also WORK at work? ;)
I mean, how do you find the time to watch all that while you are at work?
Is it some stand-by-duty thing where you only have to be there just in case, but don't really have to do anything, if nothing happens or how can you fit hours of SPN-watching into your shifts.

I'm a dispatcher, but we don't handle 911 calls. As a result, on quiet nights (when there are no warrants to handle, all our admin duties are done, and there's no one on the roads), we have 12 hours to kill with not much to do.

It's a pretty awesome set-up, I have to say. :)

Working day shift is a nightmare by comparison, though. The work during the day is non-stop. It's why, even though I'm a morning person by nature, I love working night shifts: so much less stress.

sounds like a pretty sweet deal.

It really is.

In that case - "Carry on wayward [daughter]", share the SPN love with everyone you can.
