More conversions, and more wibbling about writing

So I got tired last night, and ended up not writing much more. Still, I have much of today to get some more writing in.

I'm torturing Sam about as much as I usually do in this story, and the OCD part of my brain is screaming at me that I don't know what I'm doing and ZOMG IT'S MEDICALLY INACCURATE!!1!, but I'm trying to get it to shut up by telling it that it's a supernatural affliction so I can totally make shit up if I want to, so THERE.

*headdesk*

I am such a dweeb.

In other news, I brought SPN to work again last Sunday at the request of my coworker J., and one of the supervisors was there —the really laid-back supervisor, luckily. So he let us pop in the DVD because J. was jonesing for another fix, and spent the first twenty minutes of the episode ("Sin City") making snarky comments.

Then the snarky comments sort of petered off, and he started asking questions about who was whom, and why were they doing that? He assured me that it wasn't "his thing," but that it was cute.

Three episodes in, and he pulled up his chair in front of the TV, and the snark pretty much ceased entirely.

HAH!

*gloats*

Okay. Back to my BigBang now. My landlady is coming later to take a look at the floor that got wrecked by the flood last week, so I have to do a bit of tidying too, but I think I can get in a couple thousand more words before then.

*goes back to writing*

You know, it's that kind of show. It's just so much better than it has any right to be - kind of hits you by surprise at first. So glad you have RL people to share it with. My husband loves the show with me, but he's the only one I know. :)

And yay for whumping Sam.... please feel free to be as medically inaccurate as you want. We don't mind. I've written 18,000 words of my own BB and have about 8000 to go so I'm cautiously optimistic with you. :)

Ahaha. Oh god. I'm laughing at your supervisor. Where in the world do you work that you can watch movies? I need to apply. :P

But yeah, SPN will do that to you. Joke and joke and joke and then suddenly you're just staring at the screen in suspense.

OH GOD I HOPE MY SUMMER JOB ALLOWS ME TO WATCH MOVIES WITH YOU.

GOOD LUCK WITH YOUR WRITING!

I am very impressed with your induction rate, it's so gratifying to hear about snarky remarks drying up and chairs being pulled in closer. Well done! And on your BB too - and if it's a supernatural illness, well medicalschmedical really..*g*

I think Sin City is an episode that deserves a little snark. But I love it anyway, if only because Don Davis (Gen. George Hammond of Stargate SG-1) makes an appearance. Looks like you've hooked another one!
