I usually don't even like h/c because I find it...too gratuitous, and it often ends up feeling a little out of character to me (though that's tied into the genres other excesses). Truth be told, I'm usually a bigger fan of the hero(es) beating the crap out of other people than the other way around. Still, though. Still. Your writing gets me every time and I enjoy your stories immensely. You just nail the voices and dynamic.
