I don't know what's wrong with me, because I'm really not into crying!boys either (at least, not very much: Dean is apparently an exception).
I have been picking up on prompts that I would never have thought to write on my own. It's bizarre. Then again, it's also kind of fun.
You wouldn't believe the number of times I have said something very close to "LOL, Dean." while reading fanfic. It rolls so naturally off the tongue. ;)
As for "weird French syntax," yes, I mean that French is my native language. Only by a couple of years —I was raised in a bilingual household— but it does tend to colour all my writing. Mostly the syntax, certain word choices, etc. I'm Canadian, for the record. French-Canadian, to be specific.
