OMG SHOW! ILU
I HAVE ALL THE FEELINGS ABOUT TONIGHT'S EPISODE!!!!
Dear Show, thank you for marrying me to Cas!!! \o/
Yes, for those of you who don't know, my first name is Daphne. I spell it Daphné, but I'll take it.
ME/CAS IS CANON! I CAN'T EVEN.
Okay, moving back into slightly less insane/delusional territory...
CAAAAAAAAASSSS...
I am inexpressibly sad! Yet the episode was filled with crazy!Sam and sleep-deprived!Sam and Sam looking scruffy and oh-so-scrumptious and STILL being a badass and helping the girl even though his ORGANS WERE SHUTTING DOWN, PEOPLE. COME ON.
Mark Pellegrino is the living embodiment of epic. So much love for this man, I tell you. SO. MUCH. LOVE. Lucifer, I will miss you so much!
I don't understand where the Dean-hate comes from. Dean was not being a dick, you guys, he is trying not to fall apart. I have many, many Dean/Cas feelings about this episode (TRENCHCOAT, OMG), and Dean acted pretty much in character given the circumstances. Dean doesn't deal well with feelings in general, and now he's faced with losing the very last person on earth he loves, only to be faced with the second-to-last person on earth he loves whom he thought was dead. So, yeah, shutting down is Dean's standard MO: get the job done, deal with the fallout later. Much, much later, preferably. I think we're all just lucky he didn't drown himself in a bottle of bourbon.
Also, I had ~ALL THE SASSY FEELS~ about this episode, too!
All that was missing was the hug.
There are gaping holes in the plot and the logic, and I don't understand how one can "shift" Lucifer, or the PTSD manifestation of Lucifer, and leave Sam intact. I don't buy it and therefore will probably write all the fic to make it work in my head.
Otherwise, I adored the episode.
