I haven't seen S5 or S6 and am avoiding spoilers... but I totally take Fusion 'verse as my Post-S4/apocalypse-ish canon because I didn't like S4's whole lying-while-screwing-a-demon thing (*ahem*SAM*ahem*). I'm not saying Dean's blameless, but the guy does TRY in S4...

Dude, all of Fusion is like, a giant Season 5 spoiler. :(

Sam is trying too, in Season 4. He's just wrong, poor bunny. Oh, so very wrong.

Actually, I only just started avoiding S5... so I'm so massively spoiled for S5 that you really didn't disclose anything I haven't figured out about 6 months ago. :)

And Sam in S4... I get he's trying, but he's going about it all WRONG

That's what makes Sam so tragic: all the wrong things for all the right reasons.

He totally redeems himself in Season 5, though. You should watch it for that, if nothing else. :)

I suppose. Although I was never really a Sam!Girl. I'm all Dean's. But I can really see Sam doing all the wrong things for all the right reasons. And Dean's not exactly blameless in the wrong-things-for-the-right-reasons either... I guess that's why I love the both of them.

And I'm so watching S5 even though I was spoilered months ago for it. I mean... Hello Lucifer!

You should really watch S5, it's a great season for Sam, especially after S4. And as ratherastory said, he was trying so hard to do the right thing in S4. It's not his fault Gabriel and Dean's death broke him inside.
