Yeah, apparently they feel that gold ticket holders are masochists, and you get to go to a dessert party late at night before breakfast early the next morning. Some of the stars come in and you can do embarrassing things like point out to Mark Sheppard that you've been tweeting about how long it was taking him to get to the table and have him pull up Twitter on his phone and look.

The dessert kind of sucks and there's a cash bar, but you can stay up until 2 AM for 30 additional seconds with the stars.

My best friend and I went to the LA con last year and the dessert party was a huge disappointment. I wish I had spent the time getting more sleep instead. My frend and I are going to the LA con again this year, but we're going to skip the dessert party and look fresher for our pictures with Jared and Jensen!

I actually flat-out refuse to go to a con... mostly because in my head, going to a con would mean I need some kind of therapy and it'd be a whole new level of obsession. Not to mention I've heard cons are more focused on the actors whereas I'm definitely character-centered and I really don't care about the actors.

HOWEVER, a part of me wishes I was going so I could meet you and other awesome people in person.

I fail to see the problem with that phrase. And if it makes you feel better, I want to be drunk with you guys...

Number 1 alone would knock me on my ass -- especially if you added "man" (ie - one of the guys saying "dude", "man", or one of the derivatives).

But 3, 4, and 5 make me totally giggle. Especially 4. I *LOVE* it when Dean goes emo and squishy (and I love even more you describe Dean as "squishy") -- I just wanna hug him when he goes like that. But 3 is definitely a classic.

OOOH! And you can drink every time Dean lets the mantear drop. Or when Sam does the puppy eyes to bend Dean to his will....

Well... much as I love Misha, it was all his fault. My friend and I went to the one in Chicago a few years ago, and what they did was everyone sits at their table and the celebs that dropped in circulated around the room so they visited every table. At the LA con, Misha showed up and immediately said 'let's just all get up and mingle', so then, of course, it became of mob surrounding the stars. Me and my friend, who thought it was creepy stalkerish, didn't join in the press of human bodies just to stand next to them, sat at our table and watched the clusterf*ck about ten minutes, then left. A lot of people did the same thing (DIDN'T throw themselves at the guests) and left in ten minutes.

Plus they had a band there that played so loud you couldn't visit with any of your fellow fans, and the room was dark so you could hardly see anything. I've been to better birthday parties when I was in middle school, honestly.
