My best friend and I went to the LA con last year and the dessert party was a huge disappointment. I wish I had spent the time getting more sleep instead. My frend and I are going to the LA con again this year, but we're going to skip the dessert party and look fresher for our pictures with Jared and Jensen!

Good to know, although I'm not a Gold ticket holder anyway, so I don't get to go to the dessert party even if I wanted to. Why was it disappointing?

Well... much as I love Misha, it was all his fault. My friend and I went to the one in Chicago a few years ago, and what they did was everyone sits at their table and the celebs that dropped in circulated around the room so they visited every table. At the LA con, Misha showed up and immediately said 'let's just all get up and mingle', so then, of course, it became of mob surrounding the stars. Me and my friend, who thought it was creepy stalkerish, didn't join in the press of human bodies just to stand next to them, sat at our table and watched the clusterf*ck about ten minutes, then left. A lot of people did the same thing (DIDN'T throw themselves at the guests) and left in ten minutes.

Plus they had a band there that played so loud you couldn't visit with any of your fellow fans, and the room was dark so you could hardly see anything. I've been to better birthday parties when I was in middle school, honestly.
