Dear CW,

Really?

Really?

Come on. Supernatural is one of your longest-running shows. You have a devoted fanbase who has followed your underdog show for years, and is sticking with you now even in the hotly-debated Season 6.

You're seriously pushing back the show a week to show reruns of tonight's shows? WHY? The Vampire Diaries doesn't need the boost, and Nikita is a mediocre show at best. I'll be surprised if it gets renewed.

Please, PLEASE can we break this five-and-a-half year streak of your not giving a crap about a show that is, believe it or not, one of the cornerstones of your network? PLEASE?

Unfortunately, I can't care because I don't get the CW network and the CW sucks badly enough that they won't subtitle any of their shows online (the only networks that *do* subtitle shows online is ABC and occasionally NBC). So... yeah...

But GAH. That's just sad. You'd think they'd give a little more love and TLC to SPN...

I don't get the CW either (it just doesn't show in Montreal at all), but the problem is that the ratings are what drives a show, and this could potentially screw with that. :(

I'm befuddled! Maybe they think 'The Vampire Diaries' and 'Nikita' need the boost, and SPN fans will follow their show to the End of Days? I sure as hell won't be watching those tepid reruns on Friday. I think I'll work on my BigBangery instead. And yes, I sent a disappointed email to the CW, because it made me feel better. *sniff*

See this doesn't surprise me in the least. I mean, the networks continuously cancel shows that are awesome just because they didn't get the like 10 million viewers in what, like the first week or something? It's like I always said, they only care about themselves and only care enough about the fans that they watch enough for them to make money, but don't give a shit whether we're happy or not.

And I love TVD, but Nikita is okay... and even if I loved BOTH shows, hello, I DVR all my shows cause I never feel like watching the time they are on and I HATE commercials so I sure as hell don't want repeat days!

CDUB has moved the new episode to Friday, February 4th.

They preempted the end of Hellatus. To show us reruns of their other shows.

They're not quite as bad as Fox, but they really don't reward their loyal fans much, do they?

It kind of looks like the local Canadian CW affiliate in BC is still airing it, which would be kind of weird. I'll keep an eye on the TV listings, and see if they change.

I think part of the rationale is that it's going to be preempted by other things on certain local network carriers, and they want the return from hiatus to be all . . . concurrent . . . or something.

But, well, I mean, it's the CW. They're not known for their wise decision making.

Are you kidding me? No new Supernatural tomorrow night. What? So you're saying after press releases and advertisements promoting a new Supernatural this week the network is not giving us the show. This feels like SouthLand at nbc. It makes me angry and sick because it feels like a cancellation is coming. I've not been crazy over this season but I don't want to see the show end. Fans really need to give The CW hell for this. I was so looking forward to tomorrow night. I just watched tonight's VD and it wasn't even that good an episode.

I've been watching Nikita. It's not bad, but I'll really be surprised if it survives more than a couple of seasons. There's just no real chemistry between any of the characters.

I thought Rather was wrong, because I saw a commercial for Smallville and Supernatural last night. It said "Friday night," not February 3. Damn it!!!!! Fifimom is right. It does feel like NBC's crap with Southland all over again. I'm so glad TNT picked Southland up and appears to be committed to it. Although this week's episode broke my heart and I was looking forward to my Clark and Oliver and Dean and Sam fixes. Tonight. I am now watching Dateline. I will not watch CW's Friday night line-up if it isn't Smallville and Supernatural.

I was able to get it a couple of minutes ago. CW is afraid of you, I'm sure.

What happened with Southland is that NBC aired 6 episodes of the show, then dropped it. It was supposed to be the mid-season replacement for ER's spot and there were 13 episodes. Thank goodness, TNT picked the show up, aired the remaining 7 episodes last spring and began airing new episodes on January 4th. It's the best cop show EVER.

Hopefully CW will decide to pacify us by showing Supernatural for a whole week, just like they did with Vampire Diaries when the hiatus first started.

It could happen!
