You always count! If you can make it there, then I absolutely want to meet you! I just won't be able to get very far, since I'll be on foot the whole time. :)
I don't have a car and the system of public transportation in Southern California isn't the best there is, but there is a metro line that links Long Beach to Los Angeles, and then I guess it depends on where we meet. Not easy but doable.
I guess there aren't events on Friday night? Otherwise, I'll be going to those. Or maybe passing out and dying because I'll have been up for twenty hours. ;)
Friday night there is Brian Buckley Band playing at the con and then karaoke starting at 11 PM.
Louden Swain is Rob Benedict's band, and they're playing in the Viper Room in Hollywood at 8. _mournthewicked is willing to drive us to see them if we want to see them instead of the Brian Buckley Band. Or maybe before the Brian Buckley Band. They don't play until 9:30, and I'm not sure what time we'd get back from the Viper room.
The Louden Swain concert will be like $10 or $15. Definitely affordable. Now the alcohol at the concert... that might be another story. But that's optional. :D
And I figured while we're out of the hotel, we can hopefully stop at a store and pick up some alcohol to have in the room to save money on it later on.
I'd LOVE to meet up with you and to hang around with all the lovelies I've met on here... but unfortunately I live clear on the other coast... so yeah. Not gonna happen.
If I was going, I would totally want to meet up with you! Unfortunately, when I brought up the subject of going on a trip for our 20th wedding anniversary, my husband did NOT go for the idea of seeing the hot boys from Supernatural at a con, and is FORCING me to go to New Orleans instead. Have fun! Report everything! I want pictures!
You know we have that stuff covered ;) Who all is going to the breakfast? And I didn't know Louden Swain was playing somewhere else, how teasing of them!
ETA: By "the breakfast", I mean our meet-up as opposed to the fancy-dancy J2 breakfast, of course XD
Me living in another country and art of the world it is very hard to get to the con. I do not have the money it would cost, so sadly I can't even if I would have wanted to. All I can do is to cross my figers that one day some of the spn cast will come to a conevention here. This year I will not have that luck as the one is in three weeks and the guest is; Anthony Daniels, Kristinna Loken, Lou Ferrigino, Michae Beck, Kim Hartman and Richard Gibson. Though there can be two more chances this year in April and then in the autumn.
\O/ OMG!! So excited. You want to crash on my couch? I live in Burnaby, which is a 25 minute commute to downtown (where the con is).
I haven't decided if I'm going to be going to the con myself. It kind of depends on if I can afford it. I don't know when the tickets sell out by though. I have a feeling I'll forget about it, then decide I'm going only to find it sold out (the story of my life).
Well, it may be a bit early for me to commit to anything, as I may be moving that weekend. My lease will be up and I haven't decided if I'm going to move or stay in this house.
Are you kidding? I would love to. It would save me a pretty decent chunk of cash on hotel bills. Is it 25 minutes by public transit or by car? If you end up going then of course we'll go together, but otherwise I need to get out there under my own steam. :)
I am actually a pretty decent guest, by all reports. People's mothers love me.
Anyway, let me know a little closer to the date what the plans are: if you're moving, if you're going to the con, etc., and we will definitely hang out!
Yaaaaay! :D It's 25 minutes by public transit, or probably 40 by car. That's right. The skytrain (seen in most city episodes of spn) is pretty fast and convenient.
I love having guests. Seriously. I get so excited when one of my roommate's parents show up.
Yeah, I'm hoping to stay in my house until the end of September, as finding a new place will be cheaper since there won't be the students to compete with, but I'll have to see if my other roommates are also willing to wait.
I will keep you updated on the happenings.
Have you bought a ticket for the con yet? I just was wondering because if we do a seated event, we may need to buy our tickets together in order to sit together. But we don't have to. It just may be more fun that way. I dunno. I'm a con virgin, so I don't know exactly how they work. I hope I can go!!!
Unfortunately, I already have my ticket. Someone was selling a gold pass privately, so I jumped on it. But apart from that, we can totally meet up in-between the seated events and hang out and stuff!

I think we should play drinking games in our hotel room, sneak out into Hollywood, and spend way too much time watching Supernatural. *nods*
