I don't live in LA but I live close enough (Long Beach). I'm not opposed to meeting up... Do I count? (I'm not going to the Con).

You always count! If you can make it there, then I absolutely want to meet you! I just won't be able to get very far, since I'll be on foot the whole time. :)

I don't have a car and the system of public transportation in Southern California isn't the best there is, but there is a metro line that links Long Beach to Los Angeles, and then I guess it depends on where we meet. Not easy but doable.
