YOU GUYS! YOU GUYS!
running_hot WROTE a SONG for Fusion!!!
It's gorgeous. She has a beautiful voice, and the song is soft and gentle and, and just... I don't have words, okay? I really don't. Mostly it made me cry a lot.
You can listen to the "clean" version she just posted here:
There's another version with her own comments which I can link to if
running_hot agrees to it.
:::ETA:::
Oops! I forgot to post her intro with it. Here it is:
So, this is running_hot. A few months ago, I wanted to write a song, and had no ideas in any way. I'd also been reading Fusion rather obsessively. As soon as I thought of those two things at the same time, this song sprung into being, complete with exciting chord structure and meaningfully unresolved ending. If you haven't read anything from the verse yet, first of all, what are you doing? Second, I would read it before you listen to the song, because it'll make more sense.
I hope you all enjoy, and if you don't enjoy it, I hope it doesn't displease you too much. If you're interested in the song itself, there's another version posted on my youtube page with an explanation attached.
:::FURTHER ETA:::
running_hot has posted the lyrics and some commentary in her LJ here. Go leave feedback there in case you didn't on YouTube!
