I'm back!

VanCon was amazing.

I have to figure out a way to compile all my tweets from the Con so I can have them in one easy-to-find place. missyjack suggested Storify, but I'm finding it not great for the bulk work I'm trying to do right now. Anyone have suggestions?

Okay. What did I miss? Is everyone okay after/during Irene? Sound off, please, if you get the chance!

I feel like I was living under a Supernatural-shaped rock this weekend. The entire world disappeared and there was nothing but awesome for three whole days. I got more photo ops than usual, since this is the last time in a very long time that I'll be going to a con. Jared looks like he's wincing in the one I had with him, alas, but I think it's because the photographer clicked before he had time to actually smile. Oops.

Also, Jared kept doing double-takes at me every time we crossed paths (which wasn't that often, maybe three or four times). It was really disconcerting and made me wonder if I had something on my face, or what I could possibly have said to make him do that, or maybe if I just resemble someone he knows. Anyway, awkward.

Highlight of the weekend was watching Jensen murder a giant inflatable duck with his pocket knife, à la Dean. To quote Jared (who was just as shocked as we were, I think): "Dean versus duck. Dean wins."

I spent most of the week with elsewhere_kels, and I already miss her like crazy! I also got to meet SO MANY fangirls this time! 4422shini, cordelia_gray, hells_half_acre, borgmama1of5, sandymg, metallideangirl, tahirire, bree_black, annundriel, disneymagics, and so many others I am sure I am forgetting because my brain is now mush.

Corin Nemec is adorable and side-splittingly funny, and I'm quite sure Sebastian Roché was high as well as drunk for the whole weekend. The man is a charming train wreck, really.

Heh, no, I had taken off the "ratherastory" nametag every time I saw him. Besides, I am quite sure Jared doesn't pay attention to my corner of fandom. At least, I hope so. I think if he knew he would have done more than a double-take, to be honest. In fact, I'm pretty sure he'd have had Cliff toss me right out of the Con for being way too fond of hurting Sam. ;)

Oh! Maybe, but I felt that that ended pretty amicably, all told. I don't see how or why Jim would have told him about it. Either way, I wasn't wearing my nametag. Must've been something else. :)
