Summer Writing Projects, 2012

Okay. Before I head out on hiatus, I figured I would make another much-overdue list of projects I have going on. Partly for my own reference (I plan to keep a copy of this offline until July) and partly because I seem to recall others enjoying watching me lose my mind over my excessive commitments. ;)

Fanfic:

spn_summergen: 1,000 words minimum, due June 30th, 2012. Not started yet, but I'm pretty sure I know what I'm doing.

spn_j2_bigbang: 20k minimum, posting date is July 13th, 2012. Fic is with the beta, I'm expecting it back next week.

h50_exchange: 1,000 words minimum, due August 7th, 2012. Haven't received my assignment yet, probably going to come in sometime next week.

deancasbigbang: 10k minimum, check-in/upgrade July 16th, 2012. Draft due August 15th, 2012. I am about 55% sure I have my story for the mini bang, but I'm waffling.

spn_gen_bigbang: 15k minimum, draft due August 31st, 2012. Haven't started yet, but I'm pretty sure I'm doing my Noir AU that rainylemons and I have been discussing forever.

Original Fic

(Titles not included because I haven't made a decision on them yet)

Ghost Story: Three chapters written before June 21st, so about 12k

Knitting Story: Re-write first chapter so the structure makes sense, and do some strategic rewording so that it's no longer an aborted J2 fic. ;) Write at least one more chapter by the end of June.

It certainly looks like you're going to have a hectic hiatus! Just don't work too hard or you'll need a hiatus from your hiatus!

I'm really looking forward to seeing these new fics and I must admit that I'm especially intrigued by your AU Noir – that sounds fascinating.

Recently, I've been having a lot of trouble writing, I can't focus and my thoughts and ideas are scattered but after seeing your list and all your deadlines, it has me thinking that maybe I should try giving myself small but workable deadlines and see if I climb out of the funk. So thank you for the inspiration.

Ugh, I'm right there with you. I haven't done any serious writing in nearly two months. I'm hoping this hiatus will help with that.

Hopefully you'll be able to turn it around too!
