Writing is haaaaaard!

I am having a fight to the death with this freaking thing I'm doing for a fic exchange. yasminke and pkwench have both done awesome jobs in confirming what I thought about the thing, and have nudged me in the right direction, but it's still like beating my head against a huge brick wall.

I am NEVER doing a fic exchange again. I need to be more in control of the prompts I get.

Frustrated cat is frustrated.

(I mean, seriously. In the past four days I've knocked out five times as many words as this fic requires, and it all flowed beautifully. This fic? Is like pulling teeth. Boring teeth. I feel bad for the recipient of this fic, I do. The best I can hope for is to salvage something from the wreckage and make it less boring. Bleh.)

The recipient will almost definitely love it because it's what they requested, ergo it's something they want to see. You might be happier with the results too in a few days when you've been away from it and can see it more objectively. You're probably rocking it!
