Meme, because I'm in a frivolous mood
Post a sentence (or two or a paragraph) from as many of your WIPs as you want, with no explanation attached.
This looked like fun. So!
1- There's an Uma Thurman joke in here somewhere, he thinks as he starts methodically carving at the wood, just above his head.
2- This never happened.
3- “It takes a special kind of douchebag to not only double-park, but to double-park his douchebaggy gas-guzzling Afghani reject of an SUV where it gets in everyone's way.”
4- “Dean?” His hands otherwise pinned, Sam is forced to speak aloud, but Dean can see the mix of emotions on his face: astonishment, fading fear and adrenaline, something not quite definable. A moment later, though, and it transforms right into Bitchface # 4, which is something along the lines of Dean's-done-something-I-wasn't-expecting-and-I-don't-like-it. “You scared the crap out of me!” Sam is definitely pissed now.
5- Missouri Mosley is twenty-two years old, and she's been talking to the spirit world since she was thirteen. With the cocky assurance of every girl her age, she thinks she's seen and done it all, that there's nothing she can't handle. Nothing, that is, until John Winchester lands on her doorstep on December 17th, haggard and unshaven, with a baby in a sling over one shoulder and a silent little boy clinging to his free hand who stares at Missouri with the biggest, most frightened green eyes she has ever seen.
6- “I want you to lie to me,” Cal says, resting his elbows on the table.
“Come again?”
Ria and Eli exchange impressed looks. The perp has exceptional control. He's either really good, or he's a sociopath.
Cal laces his fingers together. “Lie to me,” he repeats. “I don't care what you say, as long as it's not the truth.”
“Okay. My name's Dean Winchester.”

The rest, unfortunately, had to be discarded for various reasons. I might eventually get back to the two crossovers (Lie to Me and Dresden Files), but they're not immediately in the works.
