Oh my God, I don't even know

I'm not allowed to quit BigBang, right? Right. I mean, for one, I'm the first fucking name on the sign-up list. Entirely by accident, but STILL.

I don't have to be at work for another eight hours or so. Plenty of time to write more. I am determined to finish Chapter 5 today, and with any luck I'll get a significant chunk of Chapter 6 done tomorrow.

I know myself well enough to realize that once I figure out the damned problems with my plot, it'll all be smooth sailing. Hell, I write fast. I know this. It's just that I'm damned well freaking STUCK in this ONE SPOT, and the BigBang rules clearly state that I can't have a little note to myself in the first draft saying [there needs to be a fucking awesome transition scene here].

*bangs head on keyboard*

I've worked out a couple of the kinks, I think. Enough that I can finish Chapter 5. I hope. Oh God.

On the plus side, dear flist, in less than two weeks' time, one way or the other, I will CEASE WHINING ABOUT THIS. :)

I just wrote the same thing to Ancastar about two seconds ago. My advice would be to write the story - don't write yourself notes in the text about the missing scene - but go back and add filler later. You're so incredibly close, you can't give up now. Seriously!!!

Yeah, I never really write myself notes in my texts, but sometimes I write myself notes in my head. ;)

The trouble is that I'm not actually that close. I'm about halfway through the story, I *think*. It might be 2/3, I'm not sure. It'll depend how the next couple of chapters unfolds.

It's times like these that I wish I was a more organized writer, with a proper outline and everything instead of a vague haze of plot residing at the back of my head. :P
