Windmills? I think not!

I have decided that after I get home today from the gym, I am going to sit and write the rest of my BigBang. I have all of tomorrow off, too, so I'll be doing that then as well. That's all of this evening and all of tomorrow, and come hell or high water, that manuscript is going to get finished!

May 1st is next Saturday, and I'm working night shift all week. I can do this. I didn't get any writing done since last Sunday, but I sort of think I kind of know how it's supposed to go. Man, I haven't had this much trouble with a fic since... well, I don't think I've ever had this much trouble with a story that I actually wanted to finish. The last story I had trouble with was the really boring fic I wrote for the [livejournal.com profile] deancastiel Secret Angels exchange, and I ended up trashing it in favour of off-the-cuff semi-crack, which got a lot of positive reactions when it got posted (I'll be revealing myself when I'm allowed to, no worries).

I had a bit of an epiphany today, which is ridiculous when you think about it, because it's so obvious, but apparently I have a thick skull. I realized that my story doesn't have to be perfect before I submit it next Saturday. It just has to be a complete manuscript. That means that even if the last few chapters are clunky, I can fix them later. Who'dathunk?

So, yeah. That's where I'm at.

In other news, one of my cats is missing, and I'm trying very hard not to worry about him. :(

WINDMILLS? WHERE IS DON QUIXOTE WHEN YOU NEED HIM.

GOOD LUCK WITH YOUR BIG BANG! :D <3
DDD: OMG. I HOPE YOU FIND YOUR KITTY. OR THAT HE FINDS YOU. ;___;

Hee! I love that my flist gets my whacky references. :)

Stupid cat. He's been walkabout a few times now, but I always worry about him when he's gone.

I ESPECIALLY LOVE IT WHEN IT WHEN MY FLIST POSTS THESE REFERENCES WHEN IM STUDYING THEM. AND THEN I HAVE TO COMMENT.

BUT WALKABOUTS ARE DANGEROUS. ;___;

Hence why I worry. :(

Sweetie, good luck with finding your kitty. Have they ever taken off like this before?

*hugs*

Yeah, George has gone walkabout a couple of times before. The last time he was gone for three days and then sauntered back as though nothing was wrong. Furry little bastard.

That's completely true about your bigbang! You could end up having as much as a few months to get it perfect.

And I hope your cat is just out having an adventure and will come home soon.

Erg. I hope I don't get put soon on the schedule, because it's going to need a LOT of fixing. :P

George goes walkabout every so often. I just worry about him anyway. :(

Well, lots of us are rooting for you, and even what you may deem less than perfect will, I am sure, be pretty damn good.

As for cats, sometimes they walk alone, but thy usually come back in their own good time. He's probably been out there making new friends. I love cats, but they are fickle :(
