Stick a fork in me...
I'm done. I'm at work, so no useful wordcount, but I'll edit this post tomorrow with the wordcount meter. The end is rushed and needs re-working, but BY GOD, I FINISHED!
Aaaand I promptly signed up for summergen. WHAT IS WRONG WITH ME?
I need alcohol. Alas, I am at work, and alcohol on the job is generally frowned upon. Will have a fizzy drink instead.
In other news: WOOHOOHOO!
:::ETA:::
All righty. Wordcount meter time! Current total stands at 69,718. This number will likely be very different when it comes to the final draft.
68718 / 68000 words. 101% done!

and yeah, I'll probably sign up for summergen, too. Which . . . I've never done before. Won't THAT be interesting?
Fizzy drink, FTW!

Yay summergen!
I noticed that the summergen posts aren't anonymous. I wonder if that means we get to know who is writing our fic for us, too,.
*waffles anxiously*

I think I backed out of doing summergen last year because I was afraid of trying to come up with three prompts (without trying to write them myself). This year, I even gathered prompts in my head in preparation! Now I can't remember what they were/worry they're pretentious!
Asking for an apocalypse based on a South African indie song lyric isn't pretentious, right?
Er.

I'm sure it's fine. :D
I *suck* at prompts. I love getting them, can never think of prompts to give, because that's NEVER how I write my own stories.
My own stories come to me as either first or last sentences of the fic, or, more rarely, a single line of dialogue.
Yes, I'm a freak. *shrug*

Okay, I've got four fic prompts, an art prompt, and a vid prompt:
1. [Fic] Crossover with Neverwhere by Neil Gaiman, either book or miniseries -- Dean (with or without Sam) gets lost in the world Below
2. [Fic] "Six thousand years, six billion people, six days in the back of your mind!" -- Molalatladi by BLK JKS
The Apocalypse, Winchester style
3. [Fic] Double amputee Dean ala Aimee Mullins (I know, I ask for all the easy stuff, right?)
4. [Fic] Pre-Abandon All Hope, how Jo, Ellen, Rufus, and any other hunters with no crazy destiny handled going up against seals, omens, and the Apocalypse
5. [Art] Banner/wallpaper/whathaveyou: postcard(s) from Americana. Sam and Dean (and/or Castiel) end up actually visiting some road side attractions while hunting spooks.
6. [Vid] Supernatural set to They Might Be Giants. I'm not really particular about which TMBG song, though something off the Dial-A-Song compilation album would be sweet.
One of those might get swapped out for my "Dean's hunting injuries draw too much attention -- from a teacher who's a witch and not interested in contacting CPS"

That one is off the roster for prompting at Summergen -- partially because I totes want the excuse to further research Aimee Mullins.

I'm still enjoying the NRE of being new to fandom, so I'm jumping in whenever I see challenges and the like, just for the hell of it. :)
