Day 5: 30 Days of Supernatural

Day 05 - Your favourite episode

Dear Meme,

Please to stop with the impossible questions. Thank you.

If I really have to pick, then it would be "The Usual Suspects." Yes, it's Season 2. It has Linda Blair, and the boys being the boys, and it's THE episode I like to quote at people to illustrate the Winchester Mind Meld™ that the boys have going on in Season 2. It's a tightly-written casefic, too, and stands alone really well while still fitting into the overall arc. In short it's a really strong early-season episode, and I love it with much love.

It's a close call with others, though: Faith, Mystery Spot, Home... plenty of others that I loved.

I think that one might be my favorite, too, also because of how perfectly synced they are.

Although, when life sux, nothing beats "Bad Day at Black Rock."

My favorite is probably a three way tie between Monster Movie, Wishful Thinking, and Monster at the End of the Book.

Yes, they're all season four, okay? Okay? I'll just get my coat.

I agree, I love me some classic SPN, too! Though I have to say Mystery Spot has pretty much carved itself a bloody spot in my heart forever and ever.

I remember the first time I saw this episode that I was enthralled with how they knew exactly what the other was going to say/do--the way their fake stories meshed even though they were undergoing different interrogations, the way they both came up with the clue about 'ashland', the way they knew how to manage Sam's 'jailbreak' with just the word McQueen--I loved the awesomeness of them being able to completely predict each other.

Which they could even do in season 4 when Dean found Sam with Ruby and season 5 when Sam found Dean after Lisa. So even at their farthest they still knew the other's instinctive moves.

WOOT! Yeah, this is a good one. I don't know if I could pick my favorite.

So fucking hard. It really is. But I have to go with, "Faith," -- sick Dean and AWESOME Sam plus the whole idea of strangers holding up other strangers in prayer -- for whatever reason -- speaks more to my version of Christianity than any particular "church doctrine."

Also -- one of the first eps I saw where I started to really like Dean.

(Was already loving Sam).

You just like seeing Dean thrown up against a wall and handcuffed. Admit it.

*cough*

I plead the fifth.

I'm really enjoying these! I wish I had daily computer access so I could do this one, too. Great episode, and great pic, I had never seen that one before!

That's one of my favorite eps for smart!boys working together. And that pic of Jensen with Linda Blair made me laugh, because since we so often see him next to Jared, it's easy to forget that he's not really short, he just plays a short guy on tv.
