And while we're at it, maybe Sam could talk to Dean about what his heaven is really like. You know, not just the memories Zachariah rigged up to make Dean go nuts.

Oh, and could the boys hug again? I like that.

They could do a whole episode on it! Walt and Roy run into Dean, have an oh-shit moment, then Sam could come lurking out of the gloom, then they could shoot the boys again, the boys could return to life, realize they kind of have to deal with the dynamic duo, and go after them! It would be awesome!

OH yes, the FACE. It's not even a threat. I had hoped for a half a second that we'd get the supernatural version of something like that movie Taken. Badass, cold-blooded revenge!

He looked so damn scary. (And. um. Hot. ::cough::) And then the show went all gooey with those damn fireworks. Which is not to say I didn't appreciate the sentimental fireworks, but you can't have both cold blooded revenge *and* the emotional wringer. And I was kind of feeling bloodthirsty.

It's too bad they couldn't have forgotten about their afterlife travels, so when they woke up, they could have gotten right back on the "let's go scare the crap out of those guys" mindset.

Haha well I LOVED the scene with the fireworks, but I agree, they should have done some hunting when they woke up! Angry, overprotective Dean is one of my favorite things EVER.

I need to see one of them flat-out sick and the other taking care of him. Not the two seconds we got in 5x21, but full-on, one brother sick in bed, delirious, feverish -- anything really -- and the other brother having to deal with it. No-holds barred washcloths on the forehead, head being cradled in the lap, trashcan being held while puking, back rubbing through a coughing fit -- any or all, I don't care, it can be supernatural -- it probably should be supernatural -- I just want one to be sick for a good part of the ep and the other having to figure out what to do, and provide some brotherly comfort. Flashbacks from the one doing the comforting to when they were kids and the brother got sick optional.

I'd probably prefer Dean as the sick one, but really -- I'll take either.

Sorry for the hijack but can you tell I have a one-track mind with these two? ; )

Come on! Other shows do it all the time! I just saw an episode of Merlin that was exactly like that, and found myself wishing it was SPN. ;)

I think one of the saddest things about that episode is that we only got to see the angels "messing with Dean's head" side of things...

Sam said in Fresh Blood how much he looked up to his big brother. Knew everything about him, wanted to be just like him. Just because Sam wanted to know what freedom was like didn't mean didn't adore his big bro. Dean definitely only saw one side of the picture ...

(For me, the amulet needs to be resolved also).

Both boys need to know how they have been manipulated. Talk it out boys!! Then hug it out! :D

Oh, man, THIS. I thought that I'd heard somewhere that Jared preferred anger to weepy sadness or something, but holy CRAP what I wouldn't give to see Sam crack and fall apart, just a little.

Kripke is very, very devious, because I was all about that phone call for half of Season 5. I wanted it TALKED ABOUT and DEALT WITH. I wanted Sam to reveal that he was worried that Dean saw him as a monster and for Dean to correct him and for them to bond over hatred of Zach, who I maintain changed the voicemail (since we'd seen evidence of angel/cellphone tomfoolery in Death Takes a Holiday where "Bobby" calls the boys and it was really Cas).

But then 5x16 rolled around and Dean THREW AWAY THE AMULET and all of a sudden, I couldn't keep begging for voicemail resolution, because HOLY CRAP, THE SAMULET IS GONE. And that was never resolved. And so now that's what I want instead, despite the fact that I really DO want the voicemail thing fixed.
