Wherein [livejournal.com profile] ratherastory is a chicken

Season 5 has been sitting on my TV since Tuesday. Have I re-watched it? NO. I've watched the gag reel and the "Ghostfacers" webisodes, and I'm making my way through the (kinda boring) special features.

I cannot BRING myself to watch the second half of Season 5. I re-watched the first half on my computer a while back, and stopped at 5.10.

I am a giant chicken because I don't know if my heart can take being broken that hard all over again.

God, Show, what have you done to me?

Awww. I know what you mean, but in a way, I have found that the latter half of S5 is actually comforting -- far more so than the first several eps of S5. I feel like the first half is where everything was breaking, where the breakage was all being played up and played out. But by the last half they were working toward a place of being on the same page again. Then, as much as I am not really a fan of how it happened or the results, I did feel like they were on the same page again at the very end.

It's all hard -- all of S4 and S5 are hard watching. And I know I may be a pollyanna about it, but I'm really hoping S6 manages to heal some of MY scars from those two!

The episodes I'm worried about are 5.13 through 5.18. After that, I think I can cope. But those six? GUH.
