In the original, never-used incarnation of that fic, I had a fairly long scene happening in the kitchen of an OFC in which the neighbour's dog started barking, and freaked Dean right the hell out. Somewhere in my head canon, Dean can no longer be around dogs ever since he was ripped apart by hellhounds.
