The internet is depressing

Okay, flist, the internet has stopped being my happy place today.

Tell me something nice? Share happy things? Spam me with gifs of good-looking people? :)

A Room with a View OF HELL!!!!

That's what I was looking at before I came to look at my flist. ;)

I am very seriously contemplating getting two kittens in the next few weeks!

[identity profile] ratherastory.livejournal.com 2012-01-27 11:31 pm (UTC)(link)
Okay, that was fucking hilarious. :D

[identity profile] quickreaver.livejournal.com 2012-01-28 03:31 am (UTC)(link)
BWAH! That was Deanerrific. :D

[identity profile] ratherastory.livejournal.com 2012-01-27 11:29 pm (UTC)(link)
CATSES!

How will the dog take that?

[identity profile] de-nugis.livejournal.com 2012-01-27 11:31 pm (UTC)(link)
The dog is well acclimated -- my folks have three cats. But my living space is quite separable from the rest of the house, so there would be gradual introductions and partial segregations.

Ooops, posting fail - sorry for replying to your lovely comment about kittens with something completely unrelated.

On a funny note, I originally read your comment as "two kitchens" and I thought "wow, that's one more kitchen than people usually need..."

[identity profile] de-nugis.livejournal.com 2012-01-27 11:40 pm (UTC)(link)
Everyone should adopt a couple of adorable stray kitchens . . .

[identity profile] nwhepcat.livejournal.com 2012-01-28 03:27 pm (UTC)(link)
I ended up with a kitchen once that followed me home.

[identity profile] kasman.livejournal.com 2012-01-28 09:24 pm (UTC)(link)
Wow, a kitchen followed you home? I didn't know fixtures could animate that well. :) (Sorry, couldn't resist).

Just come back from my book club where we all agreed that Michelle Paver's Dark Matter was very good & then moved on to eat lots, drink just the right amount of red wine and chat about anything but the book. Pretty much situation normal for my book group (we don't take ourselves too seriously!)

[identity profile] nwhepcat.livejournal.com 2012-01-28 03:33 pm (UTC)(link)
Just read a story about a book club in Madison where a woman picked up a snake from its cage (she had handled snakes before) and it bit her face and hung on until the snake's owner got there. She went to the ER to get it treated and was fine, but she probably won't be handling any snakes she doesn't know.

THAT is a book club.

I should find the police info page on that, as the police spokesman is the guy who is known for his droll commentary (which usually makes it into the news reports), and he probably noted what book was being discussed.

OMG HIS EYEEEEEEEEEES. I don't know whether to explode from cute or die of giggles. There may be some dangerous combination thereof.

If you have something against seals than perhaps this video won't make you happy. For anyone else, though, I dare you to not enjoy cuddling with a seal. It's long, but so cute and so worth it. It makes me happy, and you should be happy too! *hugs and cuddles*

Okay, I got more.

When the internet makes you do this:

Find things that make you do this instead!

And remember, a friend is always there to help.

Seriously, I have yet to find things that penguins, puppies, and bunnies (especially ickle widdle bunnies OMG) won't cure. *hughughuuuuuuuuuug*
