Dear Self,

We have been over this. Just because a reviewer obviously didn't understand your story or maybe just didn't read it carefully does NOT mean you suck forever as a writer. Come on. There are plenty of people whose opinions you trust who told you the story worked just fine. One *anonymous* reviewer should not be enough to reduce you to a quivering pile of insecure goo.

Really? You read all 8,000 words of that fic and came away with the notion that I have sympathy only for Sam and that I'm awful to Dean? Really?

I'm a little flummoxed that that's what you took away from the story. Truly.

Maybe you ought to read it again a little more carefully. Or, better yet, go away before I enlist Missouri to hit you with a spoon. I am all for constructive criticism, but that? That wasn't it.

We get 5.08 tonight, about which I've been completely spoiled but I don't care because I know it's still going to be awesome and I'm really, really looking forward to it.

If evil Network Ten doesn't take it off again I guess we'll just keep being eight weeks behind you.

So, uh, wow. Have you been spoiled for a lot of the current season? Must be hard, what with all the squeeing and moaning and gnashing of teeth going on in fandom these days...

Some things just exploded on LJ in a way that I couldn't avoid the spoilers. 5.08 (Changing Channels) was one; the sadness in 5.10 was another. And everyone's gone crazy about 5.16 but I'm trying really, really hard not to click on anything that will tell me why everyone's reacting with such emotion.

I think I got 5.08 mixed up with 5.09, but I loved "Changing Channels" too. :)

I got spoiled for 5.10 by STUPID fanfiction.net, where people posted spoilers in their SUMMARIES on the very same night that it aired. COME ON!

*snarls at fandom for being stupid*

Thank goodness for the internet. I've managed to torrent all the episodes, so that I don't have to wait until the DVD comes out to see Season 5. :)
