Because this is now officially a 'verse, I am making a master post for it.

Title: Silent 'verse
Summary: An AU in which Dean went deaf at the age of 14. Everything else is assumed to be canon, with some obvious but minor differences due to Dean's being unable to hear.


Silent Night
Summary: The first fic in this 'verse, based on roque_clasique's prompt at the spn_hurtcomfort Christmas h/c commentfic meme. Deaf!Dean. Sam steps out for some eggnog and in his absence a bunch of carolers come to the door. They're little kids and Dean doesn't have the heart to tell them he's deaf, so he just lets them sing.

Long Before the Sky Would Open
Summary: Prequel to Silent Night in which I explain how Dean went deaf, from Sammy's POV.

Love this 'verse, hope you'll add more stories! Silent night is just perfect (even if I'm reading it on a hot August afternoon!) with Dean playing all tough with Sam and then being a softy with the kids. beautiful. and he OBVIOUSLY scored the phone number from the teacher... he never disappoints!;) can't wait to read more!
