This is not good for my self-esteem...

So the artist who claimed my fic accidentally claimed two, and now I'm back warming the bench.

I am trying very hard not to take this as a sign that I'm not meant for this at all.

*cries*

It would help, of course, if I wasn't feeling sick and whiny today already. :P

So, uh, hypothetically... what happens if my fic never gets claimed? Do I get kicked out of BigBang in disgrace, or what? The FAQ doesn't cover that...

I've been mainlining Bones on Netflix, myself. (For some reason, I never got around to watching it until now. DB irritated me too much as Angel, I guess.) Makes for a much smoother summer hiatus ride, let me tell you!

I've wanted to watch Bones after reading a J2 story based on it. Question for you - is the show CSI-like? I'm not good with true-crime stories. Ironically, I can handle star-crossed lovers eating each other on Supernatural just fine, but am not good with the real-life evil that people inflict on each other.

Having never watched CSI, I can't really answer that question. It is based on an actual forensic anthropologist, I think? But in general, the characters seem to run the show a lot more than the cases do. Like, I only sort of half pay attention to the cases they're out to solve and instead enjoy Booth and Brennan arguing with each other over who gets to drive the 60s Mustang convertible. And Brennan's boss is LOVE. And I'm from DC, so I spend a lot of time going "Dude, no way is that Dulles, and who puts an airport that close to the HOUSES OF CONGRESS? Are you insane?" (okay, so that was in the first, like, three seconds of the first ep).

But, well, I'm not a big procedural show person? (I barely make it through episodes of Castle, I can't watch CSI or NCIS unless my friend is guest starring, and then only to go "GET BETTER JOBS!" at him, and though my sister triiiiiiied so hard, I never got into Homicide or Law and Order.) But I'm definitely enjoying this one. I'd relate it more to Criminal Minds, the whole "the cases are more of a backdrop for character development" thing, rather than the other way around.

Okay, that's an awesome rec then. I watched CSI once and was a little traumatized, but I keep hearing Bones mentioned, so I'll definitely give it a try. I watch TV for the characterization - I tend to drift bewilderedly through complicated plots anyway. Thanks SO much! Am excited now.
