Writing progress
Okay, the last few days have been very productive writing-wise. Why? I was procrastinating on html-coding my Big Bang. Yes, I know.
Still, I started my summergen on Saturday, and it now stands at 15,000 words, and my Dean/Cas Big Bang now stands at just over 7,000 words, which I wrote most of yesterday (2,000 on Monday, 5,000 yesterday).
So this morning's project is to hmtl-code the damned Big Bang so I never have to think about it again until it's time to post on Friday.
With any luck, it'll go faster than I think it will, and I'll be able to get back to my writing this evening. I'd really like to make more progress on the Dean/Cas BigBang (get it to 10K at least) and maybe start at least thinking about my Castielfest project: I have a few ideas for it, but they haven't gelled yet. I'll be out of town this weekend and I'm spending tomorrow with a friend, so my writing time will be more limited after this.
In short, though, I think I'm doing pretty well, since I got my Big Bang final draft done and 22,000 words written in four days. For me, that's a lot. Hurray for vacation time!
Okay. Off I go to get coffee and to start coding!

*shifts eyes around* If you have any spare writing mojo, I'm looking to pick some up *cough cough*

I used to code things as I went when I was posting original fic to LJ, back in the day, but now that I'm posting to ff.net, going in and removing tags is just as much of a pain.
I didn't really think it through for Big Bang, though, because it's so much bigger than anything I've ever posted before. Take Me Home was comparable in size, but I posted that at the rate of a chapter a day, which was way easier to code.
Also, I seem to have a lot of italics this time around. :P

When I get them out of the way, I'll be able to get back to more immediate stuff, posting-wise. :)

I may have to add sugar to it, that's how bitter the tears will be. ;)
(In other news, good for you! and Yay! fic!)

I haven't forgotten your beta, incidentally. Your fic is fun and reads really well, so if there are any corrections, they'll be really minor. :)

I've been mainlining the stuff, not that it's a big change from my usual habits. ;)
I'm nearly done with my coding! Whoop whoop!

... I think I hate you. Mine is only at 1,043 words; I feel sad for my recipient. And I have about 900 words of the French translation of my big bang. *whines*

I swore to myself that my summergen would be simple. Instead, I got a prompt for a crossover and then it became a casefic and now I'm in over my head. :P
Hey, your summergen meets the challenge requirements, so you're golden. :)

With me it's feast or famine. I either don't write at all, or I churn out insane amounts of verbiage. I really need to find a happy medium. ;)
