I think whatever you write will be fantastic. So, you must. And 20k? Pft. I know you can write 8 in a day without blinking. You'll have oodles of time. Might require something of an epic story, though. Something with teeth.
I have two ideas rattling around in my head for that, actually. (I can do 8K in a day, yes, but only if I have the whole day off, am really inspired, and have a LOT of of coffee. NaNoWriMo is more my speed: 1,500 to 2,000 words a day is my usual limit)
The first idea is a riff off of Dante's Inferno, and the other is that Five Years That Never Happened that's been kicking around in my head.
Yeah, it's easier to kick it out when you're really feeling it, that's for sure. But this time frame seems really workable. I say if it fits in with your schedule and what you've going on, go for it!
Both ideas would rock. You know how I'm partial to the five years in question, so I won't comment!
Yeah. Part of me really wants to write those five years, but so far they're rattling around in my head in the form of vignettes, so I'm not sure it'll work. I'm going to write it no matter what, though.
Actually, your cave prompt might end up being promising, depending on which way I take it.

So, yeah. I think it can be done. :)
Thanks for the encouragement!
