I am now idly curious as to why that is. Anyone know?

There were already some suspects, and if true, would have been pretty disastrous for those people's continued existence in fandom.

Deleting it may have been a way to cya.

I'm not a fan of them meme by any stretch, but I can't say that if I knew who the mod was that it would colour my judgment all that much.

Then again, I say that with the certainty that it's probably none of my fandom friends, so maybe I'm delusional. ;)
