I sometimes wonder what show people are watching.

Clearly, it's not the same one I am.

If you need me, I will be over here in my happy bubble that is free of ship wars, character-bashing, and show-bashing in general.

I'm going to have to cut some more people, I think. It's sad, but their posts depress me to no end. I like their fic in some cases, but I don't think it's enough when they state outright that Sam is an evil [insert multiple expletives here] who makes a martyr out of Dean, and that Dean (and this is almost a quote) always bends over and grabs his ankles for him. Holy crap, dude. Where do they see this stuff? I am watching the same show, or at least I think I am, and I think they must be smoking some really wacky stuff.

The characters are human. They have major character flaws. It's what makes them interesting, creates tension and conflict, and makes for compelling stories. That they react to their circumstances in imperfect ways is desirable for a good story!

Meh.

Luckily, it's only a few. I don't appear to have attracted any of the Dean-haters, and there are only a few Sam-haters left that I can see. So I'll just be removing them shortly.

Even is Sam 'n' Dean is the most twisted-up, unhealthy thing ever, this is the truth about Show: there is no Sam without Dean, and there is no Dean without Sam.

Exactly. I got a little bit of backlash when I whipped out the weedeater but I've had a much better time talking with people that are interested and care than picking up secondhand chagrin from people who are all ragey all the time. This is supposed to be my happy fun place, dang it.
