Yes, because they totally knew how Sam was supposed to be interpreted more than the writers of the actual show did.

While I do think that some of Sam's behavior is less out of left field than some folks make it out to be, there's really, really clearly something off and wrong about the boy, and has been from the moment he showed up in the first ep of the season. These are not Sammy's "true colors".

No, these are absolutely not Sam's true colours, and it has been obvious from the premiere. In fact, in the premiere, Sam himself admitted there was something wrong, but Dean was too caught up in the emotion of having his brother back to pick up on it. Or something.

I was pretty nonplussed by the meta, and have since removed the person who linked to it from my reading list. The person who wrote the meta got axed from the reading list a couple of weeks ago, for that matter.
