What is WRONG with people?

Just had to ban someone from ohsam for posting the most horrific, insulting, gross comment to someone I happen to like and respect tremendously. Heck, even if it had been to someone I don't know, it would be just as bad.

It was an older post, too, and the comment seemed totally unprovoked as far as I could tell. It's not a bot, either, because I went and checked to see (so I could report the bot if necessary), it seems to be an actual person with other fandom people friended.

What the hell, I ask you?

Needless to say, this person's ass has been banned from the comm, no questions asked. This is the good thing about being the mod: I can decide if there will be second chances, and this time there will be none.

Wow, just out of the blue, huh? And an older post at that. I wonder what spawned that? Actually, nyah, I don't even want to know. Good on you for handling it. I hope the person it was directed at wasn't too upset when they got the comment notification in their email. :)
