What is WRONG with people?

Just had to ban someone from ohsam for posting the most horrific, insulting, gross comment to someone I happen to like and respect tremendously. Heck, even if it had been to someone I don't know, it would be just as bad.

It was an older post, too, and the comment seemed totally unprovoked as far as I could tell. It's not a bot, either, because I went and checked to see (so I could report the bot if necessary), it seems to be an actual person with other fandom people friended.

What the hell, I ask you?

Needless to say, this person's ass has been banned from the comm, no questions asked. This is the good thing about being the mod: I can decide if there will be second chances, and this time there will be none.

Ugh. I don't like to think any fellow ohsam members are capable of that. Guess my optimism is incorrect :/

Just gotta say THANK YOU for modding that comm so well. And laying down the ban hammer on the deserving.

No, your optimism is not unfounded. This wasn't a member of ohsam, and it looks like it was an account created specifically for trolling. They are a shitty person, whoever they are, and they and their buddies are now banned.
