Does ANYONE out there still enjoy this?

It feels like everywhere I turn, all I'm seeing is angry SPN fans. People who hate the storyline. People who hate Amelia. People who hate Benny. People who hate Cas. People who hate the flashbacks/story structure.

People who hate Sam because he's clearly 100% in the wrong and want him to DIAF for being such a terrible brother to Dean.

People who hate Dean because he's clearly 100% in the wrong and want him to DIAF for being such a terrible brother to Sam.

So I figured I'd do a poll, for SCIENCE. What are your feelings, flist? Do you all really hate things as much as it feels like you do? Or are there some of you out there who are still enjoying yourselves?

I don't like the current storyline so I have decided to wait it out. This is entirely different, though, than giving up on Show. I just feel like it needs to find its way again, and I really don't doubt that it will.

(PS: Moments like this are when I really appreciate the work of fanfic writers, BTW. They keep me grounded in my memories of how awesome Show can be when Show is given a chance. *grin*)

I keep reminding myself that I decided I didn't like Show during the Season 2 and Season 3 storylines. Of course, when I actually watched the shows on DVD, I was hitting myself in the forehead and saying, "Duh" for not seeing that they were going somewhere and regretting the fact that I missed a wild ride when I had the chance.

IMHO, I'd like to see Sam and Dean resolve at least some of their issues with each other, and with their lots in life in general. Maybe that's just me, though.

Partly Dean's hypocrisy. He killed Amy last season (and threatened her child) when she killed people to save her son. But he ignores all the signs that Benny might be dangerous? After everything he's put Sam through about that kind of stuff? Also, if another supernatural character Dean trusts turns out to be good, while everyone Sam trusts is evil... grr.

But mostly, it bothers me that the "trusted" supernatural characters always end up being men. And if the show adds Benny to the list of good guys... I don't know. I'll flip. Why couldn't Ruby have been good - or stayed alive? Why does the show not give a damn about Meg, who, iirc, is being tortured by Crowley?

God, I SO miss Ruby! That last scene before Dean killed her when she is looking at Sam with all the crazy love of a true believer and the way it all came so brilliantly together....

I just cannot even imagine what they were thinking with Amelia. If nothing else, give him Sarah from Season 1. She's not a Ruby or a Jo, but she had some personality!

I keep hoping they'll get this whole arc out of their system and then we can get back to the family business again!

I completely agree with this! I was really disappointed when Ruby was evil and died, but figured okay, still an awesome character. But now Benny is meant to be Dean's Ruby, which is definitely not an accident. And he's probably going to be good, which makes it impossible to ignore that he is 1) male and 2) Dean's BFF, which...show, women and Sam! It's quite unfortunate. I'm still waiting for Meg to come back and not die...
