I am in need of an intrepid beta for a quick-and-dirty look-see at about 15k of gen fic. It's an adventure-type case fic, written for an exchange. More details upon request, as I've been asked to keep identifying stuff to a minimum. :)

First TV show I had self-insertion fantasies about:
Star Trek: TOS (yes, I am just that original, although I mostly wanted to be Spock). Simultaneously with this TV series I have never been able to find since then, called "Black Beauty" which had nothing to do with the book but was instead about a British doctor who lived on a farm with his son and daughter and had a horse named Black Beauty.

First fandom in which I interacted (online and in person) with other fans:
You know, I wasn't really part of the Harry Potter fandom per se, but I have a lot of friends in the fandom, so I think that counts.
Otherwise, it's SPN all the way.

Pairing in the first slash fanfiction I read:
I do believe someone linked me to some Harry/Draco, back in the day. Couldn't swear to it, though. Otherwise, I think it was Jon/Robb in George R. R. Martin's "A Song of Ice and Fire" back when the third book had just come out.

First RPS/RPF I read:
Definitely SPN RPS/RPF, though I honestly don't remember which one was the first. I kind of read a whole ton of it all at once when I first discovered it. I suspect it may have been something by embroiderama.

First fanfiction I read that made me think, 'YES, this is exactly the kind of fanfiction I'd like to write...':
Reading curtana's Firefly fanfiction, actually. She's a great, if oft overlooked writer. She writes in small fandoms and isn't all that prolific outside her original stuff, but I would love to be able to write like her.

Pairing in the first fanfiction I wrote:
I wrote gen for the loooongest time. I think the actual first pairing I wrote was Dean/Cas.

First OTP:
I was never part of the fandom, but I have to say Mulder/Scully. Otherwise, I am a SHAMELESS multishipper.

First fannish friend I met in person:
Not counting the people I already knew? I think it's sinnerforhire by a margin of about one hour. Then I met peppervl and elsewhere_kels in the same day. Wild times at L.A. Con. :D

First character I formally roleplayed:
I've been a roleplayer for 13 years, but I don't think that's what this question is about, yes? The question isn't talking about D&D or White Wolf, or any of the other characters I created for my table top games, I'm assuming. The first 'canon' character I roleplayed was Charlie Weasley, and then Bill Weasley almost immediately after/simultaneously, back in the days when reparo was active. We had great times then, and occasionally I miss the camaraderie. I still have one friend I keep in touch with from that RP.
