Title: Life in the Valley
Summary: Written for [livejournal.com profile] brilligspoons for the [livejournal.com profile] h50_exchange. The team has some much-needed downtime at one of Chin and Kono's cousins' taro farm.
Pairings/Characters: Chin/Kono/Danny/Steve (The story assumes an OT4 kind of poly relationship, but never goes further than very chaste kissing)
Rating: PG-13
Word Count: ~4,500
Warnings: > Secondary character death, only mentioned in passing.
Disclaimer: Last I checked, CBS is still the only one with any right to make money off these guys.
Neurotic Author's Note #1: I would like to thank the mods first and foremost for being very very patient with me during this challenge, and for running it in the first place, which is a herculean task!
Neurotic Author's Note #2: I also owe a huge debt of gratitude to [livejournal.com profile] zolac_no_miko, without whom this fic would not have happened and who provided me with all of the Hawaiian culture portrayed herein. Any factual errors are due to my incomprehension and nothing else.
Neurotic Author's Note #3: And, last but not least, many many thanks to my indefatigable beta, [livejournal.com profile] rainylemons, who listened while I whined at her and held my hand and basically made sure the story didn't suck. [livejournal.com profile] brilligspoons, I really hope this is close to what you were looking for.

Title: Show Yourself
Summary: Ferret 'verse. When the Five-0 crew are trapped, Danny is forced to reveal his secret in order to get them out of their predicament.
Characters: Danny, Steve, Chin, Kono
Rating: PG
Wordcount: 2,917
Disclaimer: All of it still belongs to CBS, except for the bit where Danny's a ferret.
Warnings: Mild violence
Neurotic Author's Note #1: This was written as a pinch-hit for a pinch-hit for an unspecified charity thing for [livejournal.com profile] zortified, who had the misfortune of never actually getting a completed charity fic in the past. The request was for a fic in which Danny was forced to reveal his true nature to the rest of the team.
Neurotic Author's Note #2: Um, you may notice a distinct lack of plot, here. To which I reply: plot? Who needs a plot? Look, Danny is a ferret! *cough*

Title: But World Enough, and Time
Summary: Written for [livejournal.com profile] tailoredshirt for the [profile] h50_exchange. When Steve meets Kono, he is twenty-eight and she is twenty. He has never met her before. Kono has known him since she was six years old. Or, the H50 retelling of The Time Traveler's Wife.
Characters: Steve/Kono, with most of the show characters and a few OCs.
Rating: NC-17
Warnings: Violence, swearing, gore. References to off-screen attempted rape. Also Major character death that's not entirely permanent.
Word Count: 41,284
Disclaimer: .
Neurotic Author's Note #1: When I agreed to do a pinch-hit, I didn't quite realise how hard this bunny would bite. [livejournal.com profile] tailoredshirt expressed an interest in time travel, and challenged whoever got her prompt to not only write Steve/Kono, but to write them as more than just a hot sex pairing, and thus this story was born. I wish I had another three months to write it, but I fear even then I wouldn't be able to do it justice. Audrey Niffeneger I am not. ;)
Neurotic Author's Note #2: I must take this moment to note that I am an ASS who lacks reading comprehension skills, and apologize to [livejournal.com profile] tailoredshirt for writing something that she'll probably never be able to read. >_< I will make it up to you, I swear!
Neurotic Author's Note #3: I owe a huge debt of gratitude to the mods of this exchange who put up with my being extremely late with this pinch-hit and for misreading my prompt a whole lot and not realizing it until it was too late. They have put so much work into this exchange, and I am truly, truly grateful that they didn't smack me with a dead fish for making their work that much harder. Hopefully the end product will make up for my being so high-maintenance. Thank you, guys, for making this whole experience so grand!

Title: Ho'opakele
Summary: Written for a prompt by [livejournal.com profile] sylvanelfqueen for the [livejournal.com profile] h50_exchange. When kidnappers take Grace's class hostage, Steve must race against the clock to save his partner's little girl while Danny is away on the mainland.
Characters: All of Five-0, Grace, OCs.
Rating: PG-13
Warnings: Violence that doesn't exceed show levels
Word Count: 15,607
Disclaimer: Playing in CBS' sandbox. No harm intended.
Neurotic Author's Notes I owe a huge debt of gratitude to [livejournal.com profile] thelastcity, who beta'd this creature and beat it into submission with the big Club of Proper Grammar and Syntax. Without her, it would be a much poorer story. Any remaining mistakes are, of course, my own, and should not reflect upon her mad betaing skills, since I poked at it afterward. Also, my apologies if I butchered the Hawaiian in my title. /o\

Title: Like a Friendship Caught on Fire
Summary: Ferret!verse. Written for [livejournal.com profile] siehn for the [livejournal.com profile] h50_holidayswap. Danny gets the flu, but after Steve drives him home so he can get some much-needed sleep, his day gets a whole lot worse when his apartment building catches fire. When Danny goes missing in the aftermath, it's up to Steve and the team to find him, their search made all the harder because, well, sometimes Danny is a ferret.
Characters: Steve/Danny, Kono, Chin Ho, Jenna
Rating: PG-13
Wordcount: ~10,000
Disclaimer: Everything recognizable belongs to CBS. The ferret stuff is mine, though.
Warnings: Crack. Minimal swearing. Implied established relationship.
Neurotic Author's Note #1: I managed to get a teeny window of time at work in which to post this, but my internet at home is still not working. :( I'm sorry this is so late!
Neurotic Author's Note #2: This is actually a sequel to Nearly Always Your Own Fault, but it stands on its own. All you really need to know is that, sometimes, Danny is a ferret.
Neurotic Author's Note #3: So, um, [livejournal.com profile] siehn mentioned that she liked AUs in which some of the team weren't human, and also expressed a desire for a kidnapping story in which the team rescued a kidnapped team member. My brain saw this and decided: "Clearly she means that Danny is a ferret and gets kidnapped!" IDK, okay?
Neurotic Author's Note #4: Also, because I am the God of my teeny-tiny corner of the world, I have decided that in this AU Jenna gets to live and stay part of Five-0, okay? Okay.
Neurotic Author's Note #Oh My God Shut Up Already [livejournal.com profile] ratherastory:All of my ferret information comes from the internet, so please be lenient about my inaccuracies.

Title: Fugit Irreparabile Tempus
Summary: A lot can happen in a minute. Written for the [livejournal.com profile] h50_exchange for [livejournal.com profile] delicatale. Originally posted anonymously here.
Characters: Steve/Danny, brief appearances by Chin and Kono
Rating: PG-13
Wordcount: 5,076
Disclaimer: I am playing in CBS's sandbox. Everything recognizable is theirs, everything else is mine.
Warnings: Swearing.
Neurotic Author's Note #1: So the ever-patient, extraordinarily lovely and talented [livejournal.com profile] delicatale expressed a desire to read the AU in which one of the characters goes blind (or deaf, or whatever), and how the characters end up dealing with it. This is my attempt to provide that. I think I mostly succeeded.
Neurotic Author's Note #2: I stole the title from the Georgics. I hope I haven't mangled the Latin too horribly. Apologies to all the scholars who read it and cringe. ;)
Neurotic Author's Note #3: The characters and I had a violent disagreement about whether or not they were going to get it on on-screen, as it were. The characters won. I apologize for the lack of sex, but they were adamant about angsting instead.

Title: Always on My Mind
Summary: Coda to 2.10 Steve thinks about Danny the whole time he's in North Korea.
Characters: Steve, with appearances by basically the whole cast. I guess there's implied Steve/Danny, or maybe it's very pre-slash, IDEK. It reads like gen, though.
Rating: PG-13
Wordcount: 2,363
Disclaimer: It all belongs to CBS, alas. Nothing recognizable is mine.
Warnings: Violence, mentions of torture
Neurotic Author's Note #1: We really needed another coda to 2.10, right? Right? Yes. Well, since we needed one, here it is. :)
Neurotic Author's Note #2: This is mostly [livejournal.com profile] pkwench's fault. She gave me a prompt, and then I took liberties with the prompt, and it resulted in this.
Neurotic Author's Note #3: This is much closer to how I would have liked it to go. But then, I'm a little biased toward Steve/Danny, so there.

Title: Nothing Exactly Like It
Summary: There are always little hurdles to be overcome in a relationship. Steve and Danny stumble over one of them. Or, the one in which Danny doesn't actually like giving blowjobs.
Characters: Steve/Danny, brief Chin and Kono
Rating: NC-17
Wordcount: 4,417
Disclaimer: All of it still belongs to CBS. Just playing with their toys while their attention is elsewhere.
Warnings: Vague spoilers for all aired episodes. Awkward sex.
Neurotic Author's Note #1: This is all [livejournal.com profile] zortified's fault. I was checking Twitter and saw this tweet: "Want to see a steve/danny fic where one of them doesn't like to give blowjobs & it causes problems until they figure out how to negotiate…" and then this fic happened. IDEK, okay?
Neurotic Author's Note #2: Title is taken from a quote by W. C. Fields: "Some things are better than sex, and some are worse, but there's nothing exactly like it."
Neurotic Author's Note #3: Unbeta'd. Read at your own risk, etc.

Title: A Pre-Existing Condition
Summary: From a prompt by [livejournal.com profile] desertport at the [livejournal.com profile] hawaii_50_hc h/c comment-fic meme. Steve and Danny are imprisoned for some reason or other and held in two rooms separated by an opaque wall that lets a little sound through. One or the other is injured, and/or maybe being interrogated by the bad guys, and all the other one can do is listen and try to keep his friend's spirits up with his voice.
Characters: Steve, Danny, Ocs, quick appearance by Chin and Kono
Rating: PG-13
Wordcount: 7,423
Disclaimer: Lies, pretty little lies, all of it.
Warnings: more Danny-with-seizures, swearing, show-levels of violence
Neurotic Author's Note #1: So I guess I have ANOTHER 'verse. This is a sequel of sorts to The Art of Bad Timing. You don't have to read the story to understand this one, just know that Danny has a pre-existing condition that predisposes him to seizures.
Neurotic Author's Note #2: Um, this is only sort of what desertport asked for. Sorry, babe! I hope you like it anyway.
Neurotic Author's Note #3: Unbeta'd comment-fic. I'm posting it now because I've been staring at it for way too long.
