Warnings: None. It's pretty light-hearted. It starts out a bit cracky, then gets serious, as is my wont, but compared to what I've been producing lately? It's cotton candy. Really, really fluffy. ;)

Writing is haaaaaard!

I am having a fight to the death with this freaking thing I'm doing for a fic exchange. yasminke and pkwench have both done awesome jobs in confirming what I thought about the thing, and have nudged me in the right direction, but it's still like beating my head against a huge brick wall.

I am NEVER doing a fic exchange again. I need to be more in control of the prompts I get.

(I mean, seriously. In the past four days I've knocked out five times as many words as this fic requires, and it all flowed beautifully. This fic? Is like pulling teeth. Boring teeth. I feel bad for the recipient of this fic, I do. The best I can hope for is to salvage something from the wreckage and make it less boring. Bleh.)
