I'm on a roll, apparently. Who knew comment-fic memes would make me so freaking prolific? I blame [livejournal.com profile] pkwench. This is another one from [livejournal.com profile] sharp_teeth.

Title: Deprivation
Prompt: From a prompt by the lovely and talented [livejournal.com profile] pkwench: One of the boys is losing a sense at a time. A taste of blood, then nothing. A horrible sound, a terrible sight ... you get the idea. Eventually, all that remains is the sense of touch and they're soon praying that it's gone too. Original prompt and my answer can be found here.
Spoilers: Minor for Season 4.
Word Count: 2,347
Warnings: Not much to warn for, actually. Sam's in his own head a lot.
Disclaimer: Nihil me impune lacessit! Uh, I mean, they don't belong to me. *shifty eyes*
Neurotic Authorial Disclaimer: [livejournal.com profile] pkwench needs to stop prompting things. I'll never get anything else done for the rest of my life.
Neurotic Authorial Disclaimer #2: Unbeta'd and written during a slow period at work in the middle of the night. Broken grammar and miserable syntax are to be expected.
Neurotic Authorial Disclaimer #3: Apparently I'm on a serious let's-hurt-Sam kick. I may eventually get back to Dean, or maybe really mix things up and bring in another character entirely. Excitement abounds!

Apparently the way to survive six weeks without new episodes of Supernatural is to find comment-fic memes and write like there's no tomorrow!

The comment-fic meme at [livejournal.com profile] ohsam is still going. We have 23 stories, but LOTS and LOTS of prompts still going begging. Fangirls, to your keyboards! ;)

Speaking of which, the multi-fandom horror comment-fic meme over at [livejournal.com profile] sharp_teeth is EATING MY BRAIN. I haven't even answered any of the zombie prompts.

I am rediscovering my love for horror, after not writing any of it since the Zombie Novel of '06. (Okay, there was an abortive attempt last November, but the less said about that the better)

In related news, [livejournal.com profile] werty30 has given me my new favourite phrase of the day, possibly even the week or the year, concerning my writing: "Restorative crucifixion schmoop." How awesome is that? Even if it was ironic, I love the wording. It's very reminiscent of the Show itself. *bounces*

In other, only slightly-related news, I am working night shift and I am kind of brain dead and I've been leaving nonsense comments in people's LJs. It's a little sad, but luckily also hilarious. You'll have to forgive all my blond moments, because my attention span is SHOT and it's a miracle I know what day it is, let alone remember to whom I'm speaking at any given time.

:::ETA:::

LOOKIT THE SHINY NEW COMM!
