Holiday cards, sort of

Okay. I suck at sending out real cards, but I think I can totally manage to send a virtual sort of card by email, which idea I just spotted in wave_obscura's LJ.

So if you'd like a well-intentioned if not-very-expert card made by yours truly in Photoshop (or the nearest equivalent thereof), drop me a line, along with your email. Comments to the entry are screened. :)

Also, do let me know if you'd rather have a Christmas-themed card or a winter-themed card, or another seasonal type of card.

I promise to have them all sent out by December 24th. :D

So I caved and signed up for l4d_bigbang because it looks awesome and is only 5,000 words. That can't be that bad, right? (Yes, I know, I said that about spn_reversebang too, alas)

Yet another beta request

Okay, so I'm scrambling madly to get my Novakfest fic finished for my deadline on Saturday.

Would anyone be up to a quick beta, probably on Thursday, for basic spelling and grammar and oh-my-God-ratherastory-what-the-hell-is-that-sentence kind of stuff?

It's completely AU, and is set in the 18th century, on the high seas. Currently it's a little over 7,000 words and will definitely end up over 10k, but probably under 15k. (So much for that 500-word minimum)

Anyone feel like taking the plunge?
