So the lovely and talented [livejournal.com profile] cassiopeia7 drew some gorgeous illustrations for my prompts for Novakfest. I was shamefully late in going in and leaving comments, but they are just lovely and well worth your time!

Go here to express your admiration, okay? Seriously, go! I will wait here.

Someone asked me the other day if there was any podfic of my stories. The answer is yes! It didn't occur to me before, but it does now, that it's actually kind of difficult to find. So I'm going to make a list in this post and link to it in my sidebar, that way if people are looking for art/podfic that was based off my fic, they'll be able to find it easily.

I am STUPID and forgot to include the link to the fanmix that [livejournal.com profile] huntress69 made for my H50 Big Bang, The Seal.

Go here to download it, and don't forget to leave feedback!

Also, I hope you all have been leaving lots of feedback for my devoted and talented artist, [livejournal.com profile] vahly, who worked very hard on the art for the story! A reminder, her post is here.

Go forth, enjoy, and comment!

*flails happily*

Lookit the pretty thing that [livejournal.com profile] odysseaia drew for my story Most Dangerous When It Comes Late In Life! It's an illustration of what is probably my favourite scene in the whole fic. :)

Clicky on the picture to go an lavish praise upon her for being so awesome!

(Also, if the image doesn't show up I apologize, I'm on a work computer and thus working a little blind here)

LOOK! I AM ALL CAPSLOCKY!

The spectacularly talented Tremaine, who some of you might remember did an illustration of A Little Help, is at it again, this time with a comic!

Below you will find illustrated the last scene of Home To My Heart, and if it's doesn't make you wibble and melt, then you are clearly MADE OF STONE! ;)

*squees forever*

COMIC!

Oh, and go here to see the original and to lavish praise upon her, okay?

Okay.

So I have a not-so-legal copy of Photoshop CS4 on my computer. Shh, don't tell anyone, 'kay?

Anyway, I have discovered, much to my chagrin, that I understand diddlysquat about how it's supposed to work. No, seriously. I can't cut and paste shapes, I can't even find a fill too. It's embarrassing just how badly I suck at figuring this out, and usually after I futz around in a program for a while I can usually make out the basics. Hell, I once figured out an entire image editing software that was in Portuguese, and I don't even speak the language.

Dear flist, help a girl out. Are there good tutorials out there? Preferably with screencaps and plain language, or at least language that will explain to me what all the technical terms mean? I have this shiny toy, and I really want to play with it!

Thanks in advance!

Okay, this question is for the Big Bang writers on my flist.

A bit of context. I'm currently signed up for the [livejournal.com profile] gabriel_bigbang, which has a January deadline. Here's the thing: I have only a vague idea about what I might write, and instead I've been struck by the insane notion that I might want to do art for it instead.

Now, I am not an artist. In fact, I can barely manage stick figures on some days. On good days, however, if I work really really hard, sometimes I produce stuff that I actually like.

That being said, I am worried. I don't want to inflict my art on some poor unsuspecting writer who's expecting, I dunno, talent, as opposed to gobs and gobs of enthusiasm and a lot of sweat and blood and tears.

So, writers, what are your thoughts when you find out the identity of your artist? Have you ever had misgivings upon seeing what they've done in the past and been pleasantly surprised? Have you ever had an artist whose work you just didn't like? How did that work out for you?

I'm looking for opinions, anecdotal evidence, anything at all. I'm just not sure that my plan isn't insane.

I was just alerted to this lovely bit of art [livejournal.com profile] hiroyuki_hydex made for "Nihil Inherit." I don't think she's seen my original post here on LJ, since she's from ff.net.

Still, it's exciting to know people enjoy my stuff enough to make art for it. :)
