Vidder's Notes:

Sam may have been saved from his ultimate destiny, but he wasn't saved from suffering.

Sam's speech at the end of House of the Holy has always been one of my favourites. Looking back it's sad to think just how much he lost and suffered.

Okay, I know I just recc'd this at [livejournal.com profile] ohsam, but really, I couldn't resist! It's too good a vid not to include everywhere, and it made me cry about two seconds after getting out of bed, so.

Go here to leave feedback for the vidder!

So I've noticed that a LOT of people on my flist are freaking out in various ways, shapes and forms about their writing lately. A lot have writer's block, a lot are worried about summergen, a lot are simply concerned that their writing isn't any good anymore/ever.

One of my friends, an actual professional, published author, pointed me to this video of Elizabeth Gilbert, and it changed the way I though about my writing.

She makes a very compelling case for the "butt in chair" approach to writing/creating anything, and I love the way she puts it.

It's a longish video (19 minutes), but it is WORTH watching. Especially if you're a writer, especially if you're having trouble with your writing. Take the time to watch it. :)

So show up for your writing. Put your butt in your chair and your fingers on your keyboard (or your pen to paper). Even if you get only one sentence written, you will know that you upheld your end of the bargain.

I am REALLY SAD. Supernatural is busy ripping my heart out of my ribcage because both the boys are hurting and alone and GOD. I want to wrap them both up in a blanket and feed them tea until the apocalypse is over.

(On a related note, I also want to grab Cas and make him pet a basketful of kittens until he feels better)

So I'm going to go watch [livejournal.com profile] ash48's vid again, because it makes me grin like an idiot every time.

LOOK AT THEIR SMILES IN THE CLIPS! Sammy's smile is like looking into the damned sun, it's so bright! *melts*

DEAR PTBs AT SPN: PLEASE TO BE GETTING THE BOYS BACK ON AN EVEN KEEL AGAIN. THANK YOU BYE!

I'm guessing most of my flist already knows [livejournal.com profile] ash48's vids, because they're awesome. That being said, I'm still going to link this one, because it makes me so goddamn happy I could sing. Actually, I have been singing along to it.

This is one of my favourite songs, for one thing ([livejournal.com profile] ash48 apparently has similar taste in music to mine), and it's always made me happy to listen to it.

For another thing, check out the clips of Sam's SMILE. You remember that awesome, open, oh-my-God-isn't-life-fantastic smile —all innocence and giggles— that he had in the first couple of seasons? The one we haven't seen since early Season 3 because now his life sucks beyond description?

Yeah. THAT smile. It's back, and it kind of made me cry. Because I am just that sad and pathetic that I miss the old Sam, the one that used to smile at small things.

This vid sums up ALL the reasons I love the show, and all the reasons why I'm so freaking sad about the last season and a half. That bond between the boys is broken, and I really want Kripke to FIX IT, GODDAMMIT, before I lose my mind!

Okay, I'm done now. Go watch.
