Okay, flist. I'm going to try this cool new thing tonight called "actually writing." Crazy, right?

So, comment here. For every comment I will write you 100-500 words. Anything goes. Existing 'verses, new ideas, anything. Any fandom I have written in is fair game. For the record those are, in no particular order:

Supernatural (FPF and RPF)
Hawaii Five-0
Leverage
Teen Wolf
White Collar
Avengers & related characters (mostly MCU, but I have read some of Bendis' comics)
Cracked (Season 1 only, I have not been watching S2)
Burn Notice (though only the once)
Dresden Files (I am NOT caught up on all the books, so be nice about spoilers!)

If you happen to know of a show that I watch(ed) (or a book series that I read, for that matter), and you want to prompt me for that, feel free. I'll try to list a few shows I can think of off the top of my head (I watch a lot of TV, apparently):

Haven
Person of Interest
Grimm
Covert Affairs
Lost Girl
Elementary
Farscape
Firefly
The Pretender

Uh, that's all I can come up with right now. But yeah, improvise if you want. :)

:::ETA::: There have been a lot of requests for Fusion, but since all the prompts are pretty loose, what I will do is work on a separate instalment and post that instead.
ratherastory: ([SPN] Writing Is Hard!)
Again, taking example from others and posting a list of fills so far...

For [livejournal.com profile] clarity159: The one in which Dean and Cas help Sam and Perry cope with an overenthusiastic Fourth of July display.

For [livejournal.com profile] de_nugis: The Fusion 'verse story in which they get Millie the cat.

For [livejournal.com profile] killabeez: The time Sam came to his big brother's defense when he was a teenager and some asshole was bad-mouthing him.

For [livejournal.com profile] azziria: The one in which Danny inexplicably craves licorice, because I misread the name in the prompt like a doofus...

For [livejournal.com profile] claudiapriscus: The one in which Phil Coulson is really glad that Pepper Potts has never decided to embrace a life of crime.

For [livejournal.com profile] quickreaver: The one in which the Winchesters meet the Hawaii Five-0 team and Sam is inexplicably intimidated by a man two feet shorter than him.

For [livejournal.com profile] ferrous_wheeler: The Fusion 'verse one in which Sam overhears Dean worrying about money and takes it personally.

For [livejournal.com profile] cherie_morte: The one in which they go to visit Bobby one summer and Sammy really wants to keep Bobby's dog, so Dean tries to think up elaborate ways to steal it (even though he thinks dogs suck).

For [livejournal.com profile] blackrabbit42: The one in which the boys spike a watermelon and spend a day with their feet in the river getting drunk on a rare day off.

For [livejournal.com profile] morganoconner: The one in which Sheriff Stilinski sees a werewolf for the first time.

For [livejournal.com profile] gidgetgal9: The Fusion 'verse story in which Sam accidentally drops a bunch of very expensive pills in the toilet and it ends up being okay anyway.

Shamelessly stolen from [livejournal.com profile] de_nugis.

Tell me about a story I haven't written, and I will give you 1-3 sentences (or more) from or about it.

I haven't been writing much (apart from my summergen, which keeps getting longer on me and is giving me terrible trouble and I am worried my recipient will hate it and oh God... anyway), so this feels like a fun way to get back into the swing of things.

All my fandoms are fair game. That's Supernatural, H50, Leverage, White Collar, Avengers (and all related Marvel movies that I've seen), and if you know I watch a TV show but haven't written anything for it yet and feel like taking a chance, you should go for it. (Ones that spring to mind are Person of Interest and Teen Wolf, among others.)

Title: Ain't Looking Back on the Seeds I've Sown
Summary: Castiel tries to leave everything he loves behind. It doesn't go according to plan. Written for the [livejournal.com profile] silverbullets prompt “You're not getting out of it that easy.”
Characters: heavily implied Cas/Sam/Dean
Rating: PG-13
Wordcount: 2,499
Disclaimer: I had them tied up in my bedroom closet for a while, but it turns out that restraints are no match for heavenly-bestowed powers, and Castiel gave me a Very Disapproving Look™ before they left. So, you know, they're not actually mine at all. Alas.
Warnings: A little bit of swearing, a little bit of angst, a little bit of schmoop. I think it works. Also, heavily implied Cas/Sam/Dean, but the story itself is entirely smut-free. No one even kisses. Totally safe.
Neurotic Author's Note #1: Written in a hurry. No beta, no revision, nothing.
Neurotic Author's Note #2: No, I haven't worked on my Big Bang, why do you ask? *headdesk*
Neurotic Author's Note #3: Props and internet cookies to anyone who spots the Bon Jovi reference. ;)

Title: Diable en Boite
Prompt/Summary: Written for [livejournal.com profile] salt_burn_porn for the prompt Jack-in-the-box. Castiel pops in on Dean unexpectedly, and Dean is delighted. Not that Dean was pining, or anything. Nope.
Characters: Dean/Castiel
Rating: NC-17
Wordcount: 4,215
Disclaimer: Not real, not mine, no harm intended, please don't sue, I would starve and have to eat my cats and that would be very sad.
Warnings: PWP, m/m sex, and angst, because I am apparently incapable of writing happy sex. IDEK, okay? Spoilers through the first half of Season 6.
Neurotic Author's Note #1: Oh my God, what was I even thinking signing up for this? "You should expand your horizons," I told myself. "Push yourself out of your comfort zone," I added to that. What did I do? I signed up to write porn under a deadline. Actual porn, as opposed to a buttload of angst with a side-order of sex. /o\
Neurotic Author's Note #2: Uh, this is waaaaay more explicit than anything I have ever written before, in like, ever.
Neurotic Author's Note #3: I am sorry it takes so long to get to the actual porn. Dean wouldn't shut up. *shrug*
Neurotic Author's Note #4: Many thanks to [livejournal.com profile] pkwench who took time out of her busy day to glance over this and reassure me that I shouldn't metaphorically burn this and then maybe quit writing forever, and to [livejournal.com profile] elsewhere_kels for holding my hand while I whined at her about this story. ;)

:::ETA::: This story is now available in Russian, translated by the talented [livejournal.com profile] rahnieda_m. You can get it here.

Lookit! I found a prompt table for H50!

I figure that since I have two other fics in the works for this fandom, I may as well give in to the inevitable, right?

Danny has a lot of feelings )

So, in a fit of madness, I've decided to take an AU prompt for one of my exchanges. I know, I know, I never write AU, and the worst part is that I know NOTHING about the kind of AU my prompter wants, and yet it piqued my interest and I WANT IT.

*headdesk*

So, here I am, researching scurvy. For a fic. SCURVY.

IDEK, okay? I might not even be able to pull this off, but I aim to try.

Damn you, fandom, I used to be normal!

So now with the Dean/Cas Big Bang draft done and sent in, and my [livejournal.com profile] summer_sam_love fic all written and ready to be posted on Monday, I just realized that I don't have another fic due for another three whole weeks!

This is exciting!

So of course now I feel like writing a whole bunch of other things. Which is silly, because starting in three weeks I have four fics due, one of which is another Big Bang (I know! I know!), although that one's not due for a month or so.

I swear to God, it's like crack. I can't leave it alone.

I'm also thinking of de-mothballing two old fics I wrote when I was just starting out in fandom. They're rough, but I have a soft spot for them because they're the first things I ever wrote in this fandom and they never got posted to my LJ. I think I should take ownership of them even if they're not as good as I'd like them to be. I'll probably post them tomorrow, maybe back-dated so I don't clutter up my flist.

..

The rest of this post is me talking to myself about dates and stuff. You can skip it if you'd like.

I have to update my list of ongoing works, and then get my ducks in a row, fic-wise. Apart from the challenge obligations, I have a handful of fics that I'd like to write or continue in the meantime.

So, challenges and dates are, in the order in which they're due:

[livejournal.com profile] summer_sam_love: episode tag to "The Rapture," due September 11th. No wordcount limits.

[livejournal.com profile] deancastiel: Secret Angels IV fic exchange, due September 17th. Minimum 2,000 words, and I already have the premise and a rough plot in mind.

[livejournal.com profile] werewolfbigbang: 10,000 words, due September 25th. Already begun, although I'm not sure I want to keep what I have.

[livejournal.com profile] kamikazeremix: 1,000 words minimum, due September 27th. Read the fic I'm remixing, pretty sure I know what I'm doing with it.

What I'd like to write also:

1- At least a couple more chapters of RiD. Ideally, maybe one new chapter a week. Maybe I should pick a day of the week on which it posts and just stick to once a week, so it's not feast-or-famine for my poor readers.

2- I have an idea for a crack!fic that won't leave me alone. It's mpreg. IDEK. I think I have to write it and get it out of my system.

3- [livejournal.com profile] roque_clasique has kindly given me a prompt for my "Silent Night" verse, and I'd like to write it as a celebration of her finding accommodations and starting school and all that.

4- I owe [livejournal.com profile] peppervl a fic. Waiting on a prompt.

5- There are a couple of prompts over at the comment-fic meme going on at [livejournal.com profile] hoodie_time which have piqued my interest. One of them will be a quickie, but the other one may take a while.

So, yeah. Lots of projects, very little time. Story of my life! It's all good, really. The second list doesn't ALL have to get done right away. It's more of a wish list than anything else. :)

I know I've been whining a LOT about the fic I was writing for an exchange, but [livejournal.com profile] pkwench has totally saved the day! She asked about the prompts I got, then threw a couple of ideas my way, including one which was pretty cracktastic, and suddenly I had 4,000+ words of fiction written.

Yeah, I don't know. The woman has special magical prompting powers, I swear!

It turns out that I needed to scrap the really boring thing I wrote before and write crack fiction instead. I really hope the prompter isn't too offended by what I came up with, but I REGRET NOTHING.

The new fic is a LOT better. It flowed, it had some fun lines in it (including": “Great. In the meantime, I'm stuck re-enacting Julia & Julia,” Dean grumbled. which is my personal favourite), and had a better ending than the last one.

In short: \o/

Okay.

It's not a secret by now that I am completely and totally obsessed with Supernatural, and that the only way I can work through this obsession is by writing fic.

I'm thinking casefic at this point (don't worry, I'm not giving up on the other WIPs I have), but because it's my birthday + 1 day I am going to make you work for it.

Give me a prompt for the case you've always wanted to see the boys take on and they never did. It can be anything from a one-word prompt ("UNICORN!") all the way to a full prompt complete with your favourite secondary characters or whatever.

After that I pick the prompt(s) I like best, and I'll write it (them). Also, I am happy to beat either boy into a puddle —within the confines of a casefic— for the record, if that's part of the prompt. It's not a secret that I'm a h/c whore.

Sound good?

I thought so, at any rate. ;)

So this was from a prompt at the [livejournal.com profile] spn_hurtcomfort Christmas h/c commentfic meme.

Title: Silent Night
Prompt: From the lovely and talented [livejournal.com profile] roque_clasique:Deaf!Dean. Sam steps out for some eggnog and in his absence a bunch of carolers come to the door. They're little kids and Dean doesn't have the heart to tell them he's deaf, so he just lets them sing. Original prompt and my reply is here.
Spoilers: Spoilers up to 3.08. So, y'know, nothing recent.
Word Count: 3,042
Disclaimer: Kripke made me give 'em back because he said I was breaking his toys. Meanie.
Neurotic Authorial Disclaimer: No beta, no nothin'. Probably riddled with typos, malapropisms, and unhappy syntax. Proceed at your own risk.
Extra Neurotic Authorial Disclaimer: I am not deaf, nor Deaf. I know just enough about the culture to get myself in trouble. I also know that ASL has its own grammar and syntax, but I have no idea how to convey that in writing, so please bear with my excessive use of italics, mmkay?

:::ETA:::

[livejournal.com profile] riama82 has made some gorgeous, gorgeous fanart! It's included at the end of the fic, along with a link to her LJ. All hail [livejournal.com profile] riama82!

:::FURTHER ETA:::

[livejournal.com profile] elsewhere_kels has made a podfic of the story! Go here for the downloads. :)
